Hello,
I am a 61 year old American male who has spent a life in service through work in Non Governmental Organizations. Last year I started a consulting practice writing grants and providing capacity building support for nonprofit leaders. I have two children who are at University and I now have time to travel the world. I love animals and instilled that love into my daughter who is now studying Wildlife Conservation. I have had cats and dogs my whole life and am somewhat of a dog-whisperer (my children's characterization, not mine!) I am great with big and small dogs and cats as well.
I will largely be working while at your home, so I will be around your loved ones quite a bit. I have always taken my pups everywhere I can, and love that places outside the US allow this a lot more. So, if you are happy with me taking your dog(s) on strolls to meet the neighbors in the village, I would probably do that a lot.

Also, I am a handyman as well, so if something does happen while you are away, I am quite capable and happy to take care of it.
I may sometimes travel with my two adult children, but if I do, I would always arrange that with you first.

I had such a lovely house sit in Gandia. Sam’s home is comfortable, central, and in a great location, and Sam himself is great. Easy to communicate with, kind, and very solution-oriented. I feel really lucky to have met him! And of course, the best part was the animals. I left only two days ago and I already miss my sweet Watson and the three little alien cats! They all have such different personalities and are lovable. Gandia itself is also a beautiful, lively place with great beaches and lovely people. Overall, this was such a special experience, and I’m very grateful I got to meet this little family.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Sam qui est très accueillant et sympathique. Ses animaux sont aussi très gentil, Watson le chien qui chante, les chats différents mais très facile à garder. Le joli appartement de Sam et sa situation en plein centre rend la vie et les achats et promenades faciles. Nous recommendons aux amis des animaux dont il faut prendre grand soin ! It was a great pleasure and relief having Sam look after my home and two dogs, He is absolutely capable of dealing with a crisis ( The worst Dana/floods Valencia has ever seen) He lost power and water for some time but kept positive and calm during what was truly a horrific experience. I strongly recommend Sam for pet/ house sitting, he sent me photos regularly and loved my dogs. I hope we shall cross paths again, couldn’t meet a nicer, more competent and easy going guy. Thank you for being here Sam xx
