En couple/duo
We’re Yana and Max – a couple traveling the world together, working remotely, and finding joy in taking care of animals and homes along the way.
We both dream of having pets of our own one day, but since we move around quite a lot, the next best thing has been looking after animals for our friends and their friends while they’re away. It started very naturally and became something we truly enjoy. We’re both calm, attentive people, and we believe it’s all about the connection you build — with animals, with places, with people. We try to be present and treat every animal we spend time with like a best friend.
Because we work remotely (I’m a writer and communication specialist, Max is a project manager in a tech & education startup), we spend most of our time at home. So your pets won’t be alone — we’ll be there whenever they need us.
We also like to keep things clean and organized — our lifestyle kind of demands it, since we’re always juggling work, travel, and personal projects. It helps us stay grounded. I personally love taking care of plants, too. I am a huge nature lover, and I find something very peaceful and grounding in observing and learning from nature.
Even though we’re both from Ukraine, we met in Toronto while studying, and from that moment on, we’ve been traveling and house-sitting together. We’ve taken care of cats and dogs in Australia, Thailand, the US, Poland, and Italy. I also grew up spending a lot of time with animals on my grandma’s farm and with plants and trees in my parents' garden in Ukraine — some of my sweetest childhood memories are from there.
What I love about house-sitting is that it lets me experience new places in an honest, grounded way. I don’t just go places — I go with all my heart.

Yana and Maksym were nice and friendly, they kept our cat for 10 days and took care of our home. Our apartment was clean and tidy at our return it was most appreciated. They sent us many pictures and kept us posted of their adventures with our cat. Thanks a lot !
