I'm a yoga & conscious dance facilitator, writer and love coach, based in the UK, but with a love of travel. My kids have left home now, so I'm excited about the opportunity to see more of the world, experience different languages and cultures.
I'm currently working on a writing project involving living in different cities around the world, so Nomador stays seems like a great way to enable this! Paris/S.France, Barcelona/Spain, New York, London, Dublin/Ireland & Berlin are high on my list.
I love animals and have a special affinity with cats :-) I don't currently own a pet, but have cat sat for friends in London multiple times in the past year and looked after a beautiful cat at a retreat centre I managed. I've also cared for my friend's dog, Boysie, a couple of times.
I grew up in Germany, so speak fluent German. I also have basic French and a little bit of Italian. Am currently learning Spanish on Duolingo :-)
I'm peaceful, kind, positive, tidy/clean and practical. I'll respect your home as if it's my own.

Shakti stayed with us for the 2nd time, this time more than 2 weeks. It went really well, inspite of initially encountering some difficulties, as her own housesitter cancelled on her last minute, upsetting bith of us greatly. Shakti resolved that situation gracefully and responsibly, on very short notice, being under much pressure herself. I so appreciated that! She got to really bond with my cat, which I could clearly feel upon return. I found my Tigressa balanced, in good spirits and happy! Shakti also took in some packages and mail during my absence, informed me in time and gave me the sense that all was taken care of, while I was out of the country. My plants were still alive and the orchids in full bloom! Communications went well and easy. It meant a lot to me, being able to depend on her, in spite of Tigressa having some medical issues the first time, needing special care, as well as the second time, having been mobbed by a street cat several weeks prior. Shakti made sure to look after her for her safety. I can definitely recommend her as a reliable and pleasant cat- and housesitter! Thank you, Shakti, for loving my Tigresschen and being there for her, when she was vulnerable. I am glad you got to enjoy Berlin, our home and got to experience the love of my cat. ❤️

I recommend Shakti definitely as a dependable loving petsitter! I returned after one week of business travel to find my happy purring warm cuddly Tigressa, obviously, her needs had been met! 😊 Shakti was easy to communicate with, my place upon return was clean, cared for, my plants watered and she even left roses, a card and a small gift. I felt relaxed leaving, as Shakti is a loving mature woman to understand the responsibility to care for a pet, who may be insecure, as her owner was gone! In our case it was very delicate, as my cat had to have surgery 2 days before I left and needed medication and extra treatment. Shakti handled that with love and care for my feline baby and kept me informed. I felt comfortable and recommend her! Many thanks to Shakti showing up for Tigresschen in a time she needed extra care ❤️
