Hi there, I'm looking for an animal-loving house sitter with a green thumb from the 12th of November to 22nd of November 2026 (end date is flexible if you want to stay longer with me in the house). I live in my grandparent's house with my two cats Luna and Gaia, which share the big garden with my mum's tomcat Wuschel. I'm based in Sangerhausen, which is a small town, 4 hours away from the Berlin Airport. You can easily reach it with the local train. It's 15 min walk from the station to my home. My home is part of a bigger property with a couple of houses facing a beautiful garden, where I'm growing my own vegetables and herbs. The cats need to be let into the house for their meals and hangout times as well as during winter for sleeping inside. They are outdoor cats and sleep outside in Summers. I also have house plants and the veggie garden that needs to be taken care of (in Summers), so you should have experience and joy in gardening as well. The nearest supermarket is 5min walk away and the town has shops and cafes you can go to. …

Logement

It's a two story family home with a wood oven from the 60s. I'm mainly heating with wood or coal but for the warmer months heating won't be necessary. I usually stop firing the oven end of April. The house is surrounded by a big garden right next to the old castle of the town with direct view onto an old stone tower. I have two bedrooms with each a single bed and can easily host a two people. I also have bicycles that you can use to do a tour or reach the lake nearby to take a plunge.

Tourisme et loisirs

From the house you can easily take walks to the little city forest and along the fields. The train brings you to the next bigger towns. If you have a car you can also drive to the Harz mountains and do some great hikes. Some of these are also accessible by train or bus. We also have a big rose garden here which is our main tourist attraction during June and July, the main flowering season.

J’ai été ravie d’avoir vécu ces 4 semaines à m’occuper de ce petits potager hors du commun puisque tout a été accroché aux persiennes de l’appartement ! J’ai également profiter pleinement de Nice et de ses alentours. La communication avec mes Hôtes a été parfaite. Des jeunes gens bien sympathiques, C’est une première pour moi et je ne vais pas m’arrêter là ???? Merci pour ce délicieux séjour.
