Nerdy, bit shy at first and sucker for accents and food... equally important!
Sadly animals can't talk, but they are always great company!
Now for something that actually matters:
- Dog owner for a little over 14 years (but have taken care of cats and kittens as well)
- Spend lots of time at home for work, but also learning new things and connecting with friends worldwide
- Always up for a good hiking trail and roadtrip (which many animals love too!)
Although I've had animals throughout most of my life, I am unable to house animals in my current home. And despite living in a rural location, it's been a few years since I have been able to regularly care for farm animals and land.
My last experience was in March during a trip in Madeira, where I volunteered at a local shelter, that a Canadian friend of mine volunteered at. That's where my profile picture is from.

✅ Lots of availability (because I can work from pretty much anywhere, with an internet connection)
✅ Have a car (in Portugal) and have no problem finding other means of transportation (outside of Portugal)
✅ Clean, tidy and no surprises (can take of myself, not a smoker, drinker, party-goer, etc.)
✅ Last but not least, all the care and patience for your most precious ones!

Pedro was a fantastic cat/house sitter, especially given the relatively complex circumstances during my time away. Due to unexpected complications from my surgical procedure, we had to coordinate things a bit differently than planned—including some support from my neighbour—and Pedro handled it all with kindness, flexibility, and professionalism. He provided many welcome updates while I was in hospital, which gave me real peace of mind and something to look forward to, helping keep me motivated to get back home. Most importantly, my cats were clearly well looked after and happy upon my return and the house was clean and welcoming. I truly appreciated knowing they were in such good hands, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pedro to anyone needing attentive, reliable pet and house care.
