Sandy is from Canada, Rick is from Australia, we met in Africa and now we live in Canada. Sandy is a semi-retired engineer while Rick still works sometimes remotely as a computer programmer. We have worked in North America, Europe, Africa and South America and have four different passports between us - Australia, UK, the Netherlands and Canada. We speak English and Dutch, and can get by in French and German.
Since we sold our house in 2019, we decided to travel more and join Nomador to enjoy life in different countries. Our plan is to move to France one day!
We love animals but our lifestyle does not make it easy to own them, so we enjoy looking after other people's pets
In Hawaii we owned and managed a successful vacation rental (over 50 five-star reviews), so we are experienced with taking care of a house. We are non-smokers.

Sandy (Canadienne) est ingénieure semi-retraité et Rick (Australien) est programmeur informatique (aussi semi-retraité). Nous vivons au Canada. Nous avons travaillé en Amérique du Nord, en Europe, en Afrique et en Amérique du Sud et avons quatre passeports différents entre nous - l’Australie, le Royaume-Uni, les Pays-Bas et le Canada. Nous parlons anglais et néerlandais, et nous pouvons nous débrouiller en français et en allemand.
Depuis que nous avons vendu notre maison en 2019, nous avons décidé de voyager plus et de rejoindre Nomador pour profiter de la vie dans différents pays. Notre plan est de déménager en France un jour
Nous aimons les animaux, mais avec notre vie nomade, il est impossible d’avoir un animal de compagnie - donc nous aimons être avec les animaux des autres

I can't recommend Sandy and Rick more highly – they took amazing care of both my apartment and Jasper the cat while I was away. Jasper is blind and has some health issues which require daily care, and they ensured everything was covered perfectly while I was away. The handover was easy and quick (they're so clearly familiar with taking on new pets and asking all the right questions), and the communication while I was away was always prompt. I got daily photos and updates, and I never worried about Jasper or the apartment at all. They're both genuinely lovely people, and I hope to meet them again in the future!

Sandy and Rick were the best house-sitters! They were communicative, kind and Earl loved them. He can be a difficult cat - but they took their time, took great care with his medication, and stayed in contact to keep me posted on his well being. I felt very safe knowing they were there. If you have a chance to meet them, don’t hesitate. Thank you for everything!

This was Sandy’s and Rick’s third stay at my home in Baltimore, and as before, it was an impeccable experience. Communications before and during were great. They are very personable, and we spent a delightful evening out together before I left on my trip, sharing yarns and travel stories. Their love for my two girls is obvious. They are resourceful, dealing with the small contingencies that alway arise with independence and thoughtfulness. I would welcome them back in a minute!
