What charming hosts Michael & Wessel are. Michael picked me up at the airport, Wessel cooked me a fabulous dinner (out on the balcony the first night) and took me to grocery shop. They are witty and entertaining gentlemen with a gorgeous house and wonderful, well-loved animals. The dogs, Max and King are gorgeous and no trouble at all. EXCEPT, Max is triggered during walks by some other dogs. He's a strong boy and luckily, this happened when I was walking him with Wessel. Literally pulled me off my feet and threw me onto the road!! After that, we agreed that it was too dangerous for me to walk them so we worked out a yard routine but I felt badly that they couldn't get their normal level of exercise. King loved ball games, but Max didn't really want to do much except cuddle! Roland the cat is the most dog-like personality I have ever encountered. All 3 joined me every night to all sleep together. King has arthritic back legs and if he couldn't jump up, he put his front paws and head next to mine and slept with his back paws on the ground. There are 2 adorable chickens, who free range and after giving them some pitted cherries, who followed me all around the yard! There are also two baby guinea pigs who were free-chirping at me by the time I left and Richard, the gerbil, who is somewhat shy, but popped out to check I was headed his way with some treat for him. The villa and views are spectacular, but the roads leading up to it are, frankly, the steepest roads I have ever encountered in my years of travel. It is also so easy to get lost. Luckily, I am intrigued by 'new adventures' and found the locals very helpful if I got lost and when I returned home to Canada, I had nice, taunt calves and butt-muscles. LOL. I am very thankful to both these wonderful men for the opportunity to enjoy their beautiful home (especially, the art they have accumulated) and the gift of the love of their sweet pets. I cried as I was leaving them and Roland sat on the 2nd floor ledge and meowed sadly as I left. I highly recommend this gorgeous stay to anyone who loves the beauty of the mountains and ocean, who has strong arms and legs and loves amazing food!

Merci à Michael et Wessel, de leur confiance pour ce séjour, dans ce qu'on appellera la maison du bonheur. Commençons par nos compagnons à quatre et deux pattes, c'est un vrai havre de paix, tout ce beau monde cohabite merveilleusement, Max et Roland qui vous offriront chaque jour une démonstration de jeu et de complicité rare entre ce grand pépère et un chat, juste incroyable. Roland pourra accompagner vos nuits si vous laissez la porte ouverte. King quand à lui testera votre lancé de balles. Les poules viendront se mêler à votre quotidien et vous aurez même l'occasion de caresser l'une d'entre elle. Richard quant à lui viendra vous dire bonjour, quand vous viendrez lui parler ou entretenir sa cage. Les Hamsters derniers arrivants, prennent leurs marques. La maison est juste magnifique, le jardin un vrai petit coin de paradis, et cette passerelle juste exceptionnelle avec une vue incroyable. Quant à Michael et Wessel, très bon accueil, générosité, convivialité, nous avons passé une merveilleuse soirée en leur compagnie à leur retour. En résumé un couple adorable. Merci pour tout.

Merci a Mickaël et Wessel de nous avoir fait à nouveau confiance dans leur nouvelle maison. Nous avons retrouvé King toujours aussi joueur, Max toujours dans notre dos dès qu'on prépare le repas, Rolland très glouton et qui n'attend qu'à courrir après la poule Colette, Richard qui pointe son museau matin et soir dans sa cage et nos amis poissons très sages dans leur acquarium. Le village est vraiment très sympa, typique de l'arrière pays niçois. La maison est magnifique avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes du Mercantour, et de splendides levé du soleil. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable avec ces 4 adorables museaux. Max, King et Roland sont très attachants chacun à leur manière, ils sont câlins et affectueux et Roland s.entend à merveille avec les chiens. Merci Wessel et Michael pour votre accueil chaleureux dans votre magnifique maison près de Nice.
