Hi,
my name is Elke. I am 61 years old and I work as a freelance editor. As I can take my work with me wherever I go, I have time to travel and to discover new places and foreign countries.
Some years ago, I always traveled with Brigitte, my wife. But now we have a small dog, Juli, and most of the time Brigitte stays at home with her and I travel alone.
Why I want to house sit? Well, we have a very nice but very small flat in Munich, and sometimes I'm looking for "more space and less city", more nature and quiet. I love to travel, to see other places, I love the seaside, and instead of staying at hotels I would rather really feel at home somewhere for more than a fews days. Besides, I like the idea of exchanging a service based on mutual trust and I hope - who knows? - perhaps to even make new friends.
My wife and I are both open-minded, I'm more the sociable communicative type, Brigitte is a little more calm ;-). We are practical flexible people used to finding our way around new places and dealing with all sorts of situations. We like animals, dogs as much as cats. Since Oct. 21 we have a small dog: Juli. She's a mixed breed (Havanese and Bolonka), very sweet, but shy around strangers. With other dogs she is fine especially on their territory - either she loves them or she ignores them completely. We love to travel with or without her, depending on the location.
We are fully aware that you entrust your pets and your property to complete strangers and we want to make you feel your home is in good hands: we are very reasonable, down-earth people and we are non-smokers. We are not professional gardeners, but we love gardening. So if you want us to do some gardening for you, just tell us.
Our experiences since septembre 2016 (on Nomador and on another platform): we have been in several countries (Switzerland , France, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Denmark, Austria and of course Germany) to sit dogs, cats, birds and farm animals and of course look after houses and gardens.
We both have a driver's license - so no problem, if there's a car needed.
I speak German, French, English, Greek, and a little Spanish and Italian. Brigitte speaks German, English and a little French.

Elke et Brigitte sont des home sitters de choix ! Une belle rencontre, le premier contact fût facile, les quelques jours passés ensemble ont été très agréables. Pendant notre absence, notre chien a été dorloté, promené et câliné. Tant la maison que le jardin ont été très bien entretenus. Un grand merci à Elke et Brigitte! Au plaisir de vous revoir !!

Merci à Elke et Brigitte de s être occuper de nos animaux , nous avons retrouve nos animaux comme d habitude , bien chez eux , pas stresses et en plus nous avions des nouvelles régulièrement ce qui est rassurant lorsque vous êtes loin Je vous souhaite de rencontrer Elke et Brigitte lors d'un de vos déplacement et n hésitez pas a leur faire confiance Merci Delphine, Nicolas, Antoine et Paul
