Caroline et Patrick B.

Caroline and Patrick are a warm, friendly and very hospitable couple, who welcomed us and immediately made us feel right at home. Once we arrived, the day before Caroline and Patrick went away, we were introduced to the furbabies, the two dogs, Mojita and Raihana and the cats, Gaia, Zoe and Yumpy. We were only looking after the cats as the two dogs were going with their mum and dad. Then we were treated to champagne and nibbles on the terrace, overlooking their beautiful gardens and pool area, followed by a delicious home cooked dinner , fresh salad, quiche and blueberry tart accompanied by a fine red wine, in their conservatory. Looking after the 3 cats (whom we nicknamed “The Three Muskateers”) was very easy and such a delight in getting to know their individual personalities. All three (Yumpy the shy one, took a couple of days to get used to us) loved to be near us and getting cuddles and attention. Gaia, the matriarch , is the most vocal, especially around mealtime, always has something to talk to us about and loved to follow us around (supervise) when the gardens were being watered. Zoe , also had plenty to talk to us about and liked to be near us. Yumpy, Zoe’s brother, only occasionally had something to tell us, but was also enjoying getting cuddles but spent most of his time upstairs sleeping. It was hard to say goodbye (all three got extra big hugs and cuddles) when we left but we thoroughly enjoyed this sit, gorgeous furbabies and a beautifully appointed home set in a lovely garden , in a quiet, countryside location just outside Loches. Loches is an historic and lovely part of France, our hosts had provided plenty of information about things to do and see in the area. We did some sightseeing but were quite happy to relax and enjoy the company of the cats and the serenity of their home. We highly recommend this sit and look forward to another opportunity of looking after Caroline and Patrick’s gorgeous furbabies and lovely home.

C'était notre toute première fois , Caroline et Patrick nous ont mis à l'aise déjà pendant les échanges avant le séjour ! Ils ont modifié les dates pour nous arranger, ils n'avaient pas de contraintes. Nous sommes arrivés deux jours avant leur départ, nous avons eu un acceuil chaleureux, ils nous ont présenté les 3 chats dont nous allions nous occuper et leur deux chiens . Le contact, les échanges ont été naturel et bienveillant . Les consignes ont été claire et précise. Nous avons partagé de délicieux repas préparé par Caroline. Ce sont des hôtes qui ont le sens de l'accueil, ils nous ont indiqué les différents lieux à visiter. La maison est très agréable, au fil des jours on a découvert le caractère de chacun des chats : Gaïa la matriarche tres présente très bavarde , affectueuse et reine de la chasse ! Zoé moins démonstrative , c'est elle qui décide les caresses, elle est toute aussi attachante , elle excelle également dans l'art de la chasse ! Yumpi le frère de Zoé, timide et réservé, il vit plutôt à l'étage, quelques jours pour faire connaissance et l'apprivoiser et on a réussi à le caresser longuement ! Un merveilleux séjour chez Caroline et Patrick de formidables hotes les chats sont adorables, nous avons pu découvrir cette jolie région et visiter quelques châteaux . Ce fut une très belle expérience.

Un couple incroyablement sympa et humain, une maison très sympa (une chambre très confortable) et plusieurs animaux comme on aime 😍 des chats et des chiens merveilleux

Another Fabulous stay with Caroline and Patrick, thank you! The dogs and cats were in great form, and as usual, very affectionate and easy to look after (though it was just the cats this time). What a beautiful house to stay in, gorgeous region. As ever, Caroline and Patrick were impeccable hosts. Thank you for the time, the warmth, and the space.
