Hi, we are a Dutch - French Canadian married and semi-retired couple.
Ed - born and raised in the Netherlands near the North Sea beach. Growing up in the middle of the flower fields created a love for flowers and plants and gave him green fingers.
Love the outdoors and the beach.
Studied Hotel and catering management in Amsterdam.
At age 21, the world was calling, and he travelled to the Dutch Caribbean Island of St. Maarten, never knowing he would stay for 7 years and meet the love of his life, Laurence, 30 years together, and still going strong.
Laurence - born and raised in Montreal, Canada.
Laurence graduated from the University of Montreal in Industrial Relations.
After years of 5-month winters and snow, she decided to move to St. Maarten.
It took one of the strongest hurricanes in Caribbean history to bring Ed and Laurence together but since 1995 they have been together and lived in many different places.

They adopted their first dog, Boefie, in 1995 in St. Maarten.
Boefie stayed with them for eleven years and collected a fair number of air miles, traveling from St. Maarten to Canada and, years later, from Canada to Amsterdam.
It took years to get over the loss of their beloved dog, Boefie.
Due to the large amount of traveling and living in a climate (Dubai) unsuitable for dogs, they decided to share their love with other people's animals and started house/pet sitting and estate management again.
Years later, we can be proud to have over fifteen 5-star ratings from happy pet and estate owners on another house sit platform.
