I'm a recently retired teacher who now has freedom to travel. I love house and pet sitting because it lets me experience how it feels to live in a different region or country "like a local" and imagine what my life would have been like if I were born in a different part of the world. And I really love taking care of animals of all types. Even when I was working I did a lot of pet sitting. I am a calm, kind, cheerful and tidy person, who is good at keeping a home running smoothly, having owned several homes myself. I have a friendly disposition and work well with others as needed (neighbors, maintenance people, etc). My habits are simple and quiet: early to rise, take long walks, read, write, explore local shops or markets, and in general just soak in the specialness of your surroundings. I don't smoke.
I like to stay fit, so if your pets like exercise, I'd be delighted to be their walking companion. I also enjoy just hanging out with them, watching the sunrise, sunset and stars. You can feel comfortable while you're away knowing that a responsible, reliable, caring individual is assiduously looking after your home and pets.
While you're away I keep in touch regularly by email, WhatsApp or text to give you confidence that all is well and ask questions as needed. I know how to solve most household issues that may come up and obtain appropriate help if needed so you don't come home to problems. (I have owned as well as house-sat homes in remote/rural areas and on islands, so I am comfortable with the special demands of maintaining a house in these types of locations if that's your situation.)
If I've written to you, it means your location is someplace I am excited to spend time: I only apply to house sits I'm serious about. Once we agree on a house sit, I keep the commitments I make: I know you and your pets are counting on me.
