Nous partons pour 6 semaines à l’autre bout du monde du début février à la mi-mars 2026. Nous avons une chatte âgée (17 ans) qui vit dehors et doit être nourrie matin et soir. Parfois, elle demande à rentrer pour se réchauffer mais après quelque temps, souhaite repartir dans le jardin. Notre maison est située dans un village calme du Condroz, près de Liège.

Ancienne maison restaurée du XVIIIe siècle, de 200 m2, située en cœur de village avec un jardin arboré, endroit très calme. À 10km de la ville de Liège et 2 km d’un centre commercial avec toutes facilités. Endroit idéal pour faire des randonnées à pied ou à vélo! C’est notre résidence principale, pleinement équipée. Un piano est également mis à disposition.

Le village se situe à l’entrée des Ardennes et du Condroz, deux magnifiques régions forestières et agricoles. La ville de Liège et ses cinémas d’art et essai sont tout proches. Depuis la maison, une promenade d’une heure environ mène au splendide point de vue de la Roche aux Faucons, dominant un site naturel classé.

I was very warmly welcomed into the lovely village home of François and Marie Nöelle in the surprisingly beautiful region of Wallonie. I'd always imagined Belgium to be a not-so-interesting and very flat country, so was delighted to discover on foot and by bicycle the rolling forested hills in this part of the country. Their old stone house is full of charm and comfort, and has a lovely light-filled and spacious kitchen and dining area. I had a large and very comfortable bedroom. François and Marie Nöelle are wonderful hosts, very kind and thoughtful and we shared many interesting and passionate conversations in our short time together. I totally fell in love with their very dear, sweet cat, Mona, who it was my absolute pleasure to befriend and care for during my six week stay. There are so many interesting places to visit in the area, of both cultural and natural beauty, and lots of wildlife to discover in the surrounding forests. I really appreciated the Larock farm shop in the next village with its great range of fresh organic produce, groceries and bread. Altogether a delightful first time visit to Belgium!
