Nous avons un chien de type border collie (croisé) qui aura 10 ans en juin 2026. Moka passe la plupart de la journée dehors en liberté mais a l'habitude de partir en balade (sans laisse) une fois par jour avec l'un de nous sur les sentiers de notre commune montagnarde. Il dort sur le rez-de-chaussée. On peut le laisser tout seul dehors pendant plusieurs heures sans problème. Notre chatte Chili (4 ans) vit dehors 100% et est très indépendante.

Nous partirons en voiture vendredi après-midi le 13/03 et serons de retour dimanche soir le 22/03. Il est imperative que le(s) petsitter(s) arrivent au moins 24h avant notre départ pour faire connaissance au chien et découvrir les sentiers. Ils dormiront dans la maison de ferme mais après notre départ ils peuvent dormir où ils veulent. Ils peuvent rester une ou deux nuits après notre retour si besoin.

Nous sommes à 700m d'altitude dans les Pyrénées ariégeoises avec une belle vue sur la chaîne autour du Mont Valier. À 90 minutes de route de Toulouse.

Il y a deux habitations sur la propriété de 1/2 ha: une petite maison de ferme et une grange rénovée. La grange comprend :
- un salon-salle à manger, WC et cuisine au rdc,
- notre chambre (lit de 140cm) et salle de bain à l'étage
- une mezzanine avec coin bureau et canapé convertible
Chauffage à poële à granulés

La maison comprend :
- au rdc un salon, une pețite cuisine et une grande salle de bain
- à l'étage une chambre (lit de 150) et une grande salle de bain

Les house sitters peuvent choisir où dormir après notre départ. Moka dormira dans la même habitation, au rdc. Tous nos pet-sitters ont choisi de dormir dans la maison pour profiter des salles de bains spacieuses, construites en 2022.

Une voiture est essentielle, nous ne pouvons pas prêter la notre.

Notre maison plait aux amateurs de la nature et de la randonnée qui cherchent du calme et de la tranquillité. Notre chien est un super compagnon pour vos balades, il adore vous accompagner dans vos randonnées en montagne. Il est charmant, joueur, amical, intelligent, obéissant et calme avec les autres chiens. Il évite les conflits, mais se défend quand un chien est aggressif.

I may have had a life-changing experience taking care of beautiful, generous, protective Moka, a male Border Collie and Chili his Lady cat side kick at the house of Kim and Tim. This house sit was a healing experience for me as I travelled from the drier and mediterranean landscape of Pyrénées Orientales to the explosion of greenery at springtime in Ariège, close to the southern border with Spain. Moka was my companion on all my explorations of the many valleys of the area. Together we travelled from the stunning mountainous location of the house facing the Pyrenees to the valleys below by the one lane road leading below. Each time Moka had an endearing smile on his face after climbing in my car and he would also roll his body on the ground in sheer delight and appreciation after we returned. He was easy to take care of and he listened to my commands. He is a spirited dog which made our interactions all the more pleasant. The Lady cat was another poem, delicate and feminine, yet so cautious and startled with strangers that she mostly stayed outside. But she could be petted at the time of her feeding as she truly loved eating her food. I had many conversations with Kim and Tim especially about the environment they live in and I spent a full day with Kim prior to their departure. She showed me the area and the places where to shop in St Girons, the nearby town. Most importantly she shared with me her understanding and appreciation of the ways of the people there. Kim and Tim felt as old time friends. This housesit is a gem that I fully recommend.
