Ceyzérieu

If you ever need a peaceful time in the most beautiful nature with the loveliest animal friends, then this pet sit is the right address!! We didn’t know what would expect us while in Ceyzerieu, but we surely weren’t disappointed. As we had a loooonggg train trip ahead of us, we were super happy that Caroline was already waiting to pick us up from Culoz train station (still, if you have the chance to go by car and want to explore everything, use that chance!) with a lovely smile on her face. She was so welcoming and showed us every corner of the house, so that we would be prepared for what’s ahead. Richard, her husband, was introduced to us as well (such a kind person!!) and then we had an amazing lunch which Caroline had prepared. In the early evening we did a very long walk with the dogs (which we already miss so so much), showing us their favorite ways through the forest. Since nature trails aren’t far from the lovely big house and it’s even more amazing garden, they could go off leash very often. (just have in mind that fae is a hunting breed - we had a few situations where she just ran off after something, but luckily she always came back to us) Richard also drove us around the village and showed us the best bike trails to get to lakes and the other villages. over all, they were the best hosts anyone could wish for. The kitchen had everything you needed, and there is a corner shop as well as a boulangerie (with the best sweets imaginable). Their old cat lady tipsie was also just the sweetest soul and got lots of love from us. We came quite far with English in Ceyzerieu and everyone was just super nice to us. We can’t ever thank Caroline and Richard enough for choosing us as their pet sitters, despite us being quite young. We truly hope to meet again. 🫶🏽

We had such a fantastic stay at Caroline and Richard’s home, A very warm and kind reception immediately from them and also from Loki and Fae who accepted us straight away.. Their home is lovely, a large bright and airy house with fantastic garden and views down the valley and mountains beyond. Loki and Fae are both wonderful and a lot of fun to be with, there are walks right from the house keeping the dogs on there leads for just 5 mins through the village and then they can run for as long as you want to be out and you can choose different routes each day through woods and meadows… so tranquil and peaceful too. The small village has a boulangerie; a bar/cafe, tiny corner shop and restaurant ( sadly closed while we were staying). We arrived by car which is quite handy for accessing other larger supermarkets, markets and nearby sights and also to walk by the river or in the mountain. There is also the very sweet, quite elderly Tipsie… the loveliest natured cat…( oh… and about 15 goldfish outside… all very easy). We miss them all and wish we had been here a little longer, Thank you Caroline and Richard for all your kindness and we hope to return anytime to stay again We miss the
