To feed and give attention to our friendly tabby cat, Loulou. He lets himself in and out, is very independent and not a lap cat but likes to be close by when we're home.

Notre maison se trouve au calme à 3 minutes à pied du centre de ce joli village avec toutes commodités. Le Centre International de l'Art Pariétal Lascaux IV se trouve à quelques minutes à pied également. La maison a été construite il y a 4 ans et bénéfice de la climatisation. Il y a une cuisine bien équipée qui s’ouvre dans le séjour très lumineux, avec grande baie vitrée donnant sur une grande terrace et le jardin. Il y a 2 chambres et une salle de bains avec douche italienne et baignoire. TV (chaînes terrestres), système de musique Bose, WiFi. Montignac est un village très vivant avec beaucoup de restaurants et de petits commerces.

In a quiet area just a 3-minute walk to the pretty village with all amenities, as well as being walking distance from the famous Lascaux IV prehistoric cave complex. The house was built 4 years ago and is air-conditioned. There’s a well-equipped kitchen opening on to the bright living-dining room which has large sliding doors overlooking the terrace and garden. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There’s a TV (French terrestrial channels only) and a Bose music system, Wi-Fi.

Situé dans le Périgord Noir, il y a énormément à faire dans la région. Sarlat-la-Canéda est à 25 minutes, Perigueux est à 45 minutes. Bien connu pour le merveilleux centre Lascaux IV, Montignac est sur la Vézère dans la Vallée de l’Homme. Il y a de nombreux bons restaurants, un cinéma, location de canoë sur la Vézère, beaucoup de sites préhistoriques, un grand Intermarché, commerces de proximités, magasin bio, un beau paysage tout autour.

Montignac is a vibrant village in the Périgord Noir (Dordogne), with many restaurants and shops. There is a huge amount to visit in the surrounding area too. Montignac is best known for the fantastic Lascaux Centre where the Lascaux prehistoric cave is perfectly reconstructed. It is the in the Vallée de l’Homme, the centre of prehistoric art and history, on the river Vézère. There are numerous good restaurants, a cinema, kayaking on the river Vézère and other outdoor activities, a good selection of shops, including a large Intermarche, a local Spar shop, large organic shop, and glorious scenery everywhere. Less than half an hour away is the lovely medieval town of Sarlat.
Airports : Bergerac 1hr15 is the most convenient with Brive-Souillac and Limoges feasible alternatives.

We had a wonderful time taking care of Loulou and the property. Loulou is really sociable and fun to be with. The beautiful house is very well located: just a couple of km from all amenities, but still in the countryside. Lots of things to discover and do, if you can peel yourself away from the pool of course ;-) Tricia and Derek were very welcoming and made us feel at home at once. They communicated with us before and during the stay, and made sure everything was well set up for our housesit. A great experience!
