Hi friends, I have a 3 year old male shorthaired cat named Maverick.

Maverick is a sweet boy who is super easy to maintain. His food, water and litter are all automated, and only need refills, changing once or twice a week. He primarily eats dry food so there's no need to give fresh wet food everyday and you can easily leave him on his own for up to 3 days in case you would like to explore the area and go on short trips.

He is friendly but takes a little bit of time to open up. He doesn't need a lot of playtime, he is more of an observer cat. He loves sitting on the window perch and look outside for birds and insects. He also loves spending time in the balcony. You can let him out in the balcony and he will easily spend hours there. You can sit with him or leave him by himself, either is fine. When it comes to playing, he loves wand toys and the little bells, and we will appreciate if you could play with him once or twice a day. Kirkland, Seattle and the nearby area: 
Seattle is a beautiful city with a mix of city life and nature. There are plenty of lakes, mountains, hikes, cafe, restaurants, things to do. Our house is in Kirkland about 25 minutes away from Seattle.  Even though the area is walkable, a car could get you more places and allow you to explore and make the most of your time. We could arrange a parking spot in out building garage if you decide to rent a car (short or long term). One thing I would advise is to check the weather for November-December as it tends to get cold, dark and rainy.

We loved house- and pet-sitting for Mohini and Hardvik and would happily do it again. Mornings on Lake Washington felt like a small daily celebration: trumpeter swans gliding in with the dawn, wood ducks splashing just off the shore, and the light turning the water to silver as we walked the beach. Our strolls became tiny adventures we looked forward to every day. Maverick stole the show — affectionate, playful, and an insistently devoted snuggler who commandeered laps whenever we settled in. Mohini and Hardvik left clear, thoughtful instructions and a welcoming home, which made feeding, litter care, and playtime straightforward and actually enjoyable. The only real hitch was parking: the neighborhood offers only street spots, so we hunted for a place to park the truck each time we returned. Still, the hosts were easy to work with, the house was comfortable, and Maverick was a delight — we highly recommend them to other sitters.
