Our home is located in the historic village of Villamagna, in the hills above Florence. The village square is just a few steps away and offers a small grocery shop and a traditional local restaurant. Villamagna is one of the oldest villages in the Florentine countryside and is known for its history, beautiful landscapes and artistic heritage. It also inspired the Florentine painter Ottone Rosai, whose painting Case di Villamagna can be seen at Florence’s Santa Maria Novella railway station.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and hiking through olive groves, vineyards and woodland, with several scenic trails starting directly from the village. Florence city centre is within easy reach, as is the Chianti area, which can be explored by car through the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Villamagna is served by public transport, although buses are infrequent during the day, so having a car is recommended. The nearby motorway entrance also makes it convenient to visit other parts of Tuscany, including Siena, Arezzo and the Val d’Orcia.

Nous avons eu la chance de passer un séjour chez Paula et Juan Carlo, dans leur magnifique maison typiquement toscane. Un cadre absolument charmant, empreint d'authenticité, entouré du calme et de la beauté paisible de la campagne toscane. Paula et Juan Carlo ont été des hôtes adorables : accueil chaleureux, communication claire avant le séjour, et toutes les indications nécessaires pour prendre soin de leur deux chats ,de la maison en toute sérénité. Nous avons eu le plaisir de nous occuper d'Eolo et Minnie, leurs deux adorables chats, pendant leur absence. Ils se sont montrés affectueux et faciles à vivre, et ce fut un vrai bonheur de partager ce moment avec eux au quotidien — jeux, câlins et bonne compagnie assurée ! La maison elle-même est un vrai coup de cœur : pleine de charme, confortable, et parfaitement représentative de l'art de vivre toscan. Nous recommandons vivement Paula et Juan Carlo à toute la communauté Nomador. Un séjour que nous garderons en très bon souvenir, et nous serions ravis d'y retourner si l'occasion se présente !
