I have a 2 year old Collie cross and a gentle 5 year old "Irish Staffy"
They are generally very well behaved but do much better with people experienced with dogs.
so we dont consider appliations from people who do not have any previous experience with dogs.
We also have 4 very sweet cats who will steal your heart and your lunch.

Important to note I do not live in a conventional home.
I live in a giant converted coach. Up a mountain. Totally immersed in woodlands and nature and surrounded by mountains and streams.
ITs a stunning location that sounds alot more remote than it is in reality. but its definitly not for everyone
There are hot showers and toilets in seperate units,
There is a small kitchen area and sink in the bus, and two fully equiped bigger kitchens outside.

There are other smaller accomodation units where i occasionally offer glamping stays and wellbeing retreats.
In warmer months these are also available for you to stay in if you prefer.
In colder times only one or two of these is suitable and you would be more comfortable in the bus.

It is dificult to give an impression of the bus or the entire place from pictures but i have vidios i can send you if you are interested as i cant seem to upload video here.

We are totally immersed in nature and feel totally remote but are in fact only 20 mins walk / or a 5/ 10 min drive from the local town which has everything you need, with plenty of shops and bars with free tapas, several banks, a medical centre and various bus and rail connections to the local city of Leon.

I run occasional wellbeing retreats and activities here but am currently focusing on rebuilding my online work.

Not a lot is normal here so you would need to come a couple of days before I left to get to know how things work.

As well as cuddling / feeding / playing with / walking the dogs and cats, (yes the cats often come on walks with us!) In summer the garden and pots and plants need watering .

There is no proper wi fi here I just use my mobile connection which is usually good enough for streaming and zooms
There is a co working space in the town which you can use if you need an internet connection and an office like space.

lucky is a stick addict but you need to control his addiction by not always throwing sticks when he wants them
Nelson needs more love and cuddles but also loves to run/
we now have half the land fenced so they cant run of into the woods
I ask sitters to walk them on leads most of the time. so if you can run around with them withing the fenced area tha would be amazing so they still get that energy release. but its not essentail

I d really like to go back to the UK for Xmas as all my family is there for the first time in years.
I can adjust dates slighlty to suit your availability.

Not your average house sit.....
It doesn't fit into any of the usual categories on here, so I cant tick the boxes, but its a stunning place to stay.,
I had to tick "house " but its actually not a house or an appartment, in reality I live in a big converted bus, on a stunning plot of land with mountain views, surrounded by woodland, streams and totally immersed in nature.


You are welcome to stay here or in one of the other accomodations ( which one depends on the time of year)
I used to run glamping and wellbeing retreats and still do online classes from this stunning off grid mountain location where you would be staying.

Come and discover a very wonderful part of Spain. full of waterfalls, wildlife and wonder.
If you are outdoorsy you will love it here more than if you are a city person.
For hiking, climbing and mountains and wild swimming this is a perfect area.
The Picos De Europa mountains which we are just on the edge of, are mind-blowingly beautiful.
Its a very traditional wild green area, still fairly undiscovered by tourists from outside of Spain.

It is a totally different world to the Costas and ex-pat areas.

It remains very Green most of the year, bordering with Asturias here, and with Galicia further south.
To the north we have a local ski resort about 40 mins drive away while Leon City is about the same distance south.

The local town and surrounding area feel very different to city life, but also have a lot of history and culture.

For wildlife lovers this is an amazing place, there are wolves, bears, eagles wild boar and more in the less
inhabited areas.
The local area is a dream for amazing hikes, waterfalls and lots of wild swimming spots in the warmer months,
We are in a world-class climbing spot surrounded by great routes,

Although you can get here by public transport (there good connections from Leon and Bilboa)
A car is an advantage to be able to fully explore the area.
Sometimes I can leave my small old car Clio, sometimes i have to take it with me when I go

Leon the local city is full of history; the medieval walls still surround the old part of the city, where there is a Gaudi museum housed in an early Gaudi building,

The city has a fascinating history, an amazing cathedral, Roman remains and all the shops bars and restaurants you could imagine as well as plenty of other museums & galleries

Leon city is also on one of the main Camino de Santaigo routes
Here we are right on one of the lesser-known routes, the Camino Olvidado...
