Maisons-Alfort

Meet Simba, the male cat with light yellow fur and Ouisty, the female. They are siblings. They are absolutely adorable and loving. They love to play around or just to sit by you. You will need to give them lots of love and attention, food, water and clean their litter box. We also have plants in the balcony and in the house that will need watering once a week and special attention during Parisian heat waves (adding shade, not over watering...) Mail in the mailbox needs to be picked up as well.

We like to receive news and photos from our cat sitters as we miss them when we are away !

VERY IMPORTANT: We pay particularly attention to cleanness. It's very important for us to find our home clean, the way we left it, when we come back.

We are sorry but we only accept adults (no children) and experienced sitters.

Voici Simba, le chat mâle au pelage jaune clair, et Ouisty, la femelle. Ils sont frères et sœurs. Ils sont adorables et affectueux. Ils adorent jouer avec vous ou simplement s'asseoir à vos côtés. Vous devrez leur donner beaucoup d'amour et d'attention, leur donner à manger, à boire et nettoyer leur litière. Nous avons également des plantes sur le balcon et dans la maison qui nécessiteront un arrosage hebdomadaire et une attention particulière pendant les canicules parisiennes (ajout d'ombre, pas d'arrosage excessif...).

Nous aimons recevoir des nouvelles et des photos de nos cat sitters, car nos chats nous manquent quand nous sommes absents !

TRÈS IMPORTANT : Nous accordons une attention particulière à la propreté. Il est très important pour nous de retrouver notre maison propre, comme nous l'avons laissée, à notre retour.

Nous sommes désolés, mais nous acceptons uniquement les adultes (pas d'enfants) et les cat sitters expérimentés.

Warm, modern and nicely furnished apartment and balcony (75m2 + 12m2 - living & dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, office / cats room, bathroom with bathtub, separate toilets) - fast internet for home office. Big TV. Paris Metro line 8 (Maisons Alfort les Juliottes), direct access to the Eiffel Tower (Ecole Militaire), Concorde, Opera. RER Train D (Maisons Alfort -Alfortville) direct to Chatelet, Gare de Lyon, Gare de Nord, Melun (for Fontainbleau and Vaux le Vicomte Chateau). Easy access by car highways A4, A6, A10, A86. Close by two rivers La Seine and La Marne and Bois de Vincennes. Markets, shops, restaurants, all at walking distance.

We actually enjoy cooking as our kitchen has space and great ustensils, and especially sipping wine on our balcony in the evening as we have the sun right on time for the apero !

We leave our home clean to our house sitters and it is very important for us to find our house back clean (sheets on bed, clean kitchen, floors etc etc...)

Our home is in a quiet, safe, clean and practical neighbourhood. There are parks around and the Marne shore & Bois de Vincennes are about 20 minutes walking distance. We enjoy going to the two food markets (Maisons Alfort (5 minutes walk) and Charentonneau (10 minutes walk)) open everyday except on Mondays and Thursdays, to buy fresh cheese, vegetables and fish ! There are also 3 grocery stores (Intermarche, Monoprix, Auchan), as well as a Bio store (Tetes Vertes) the closest just 2 minutes away. There is also a big shopping mall (Creteil Soleil) 3 metro stops away. We also go to two French restaurants (Le Pavillon Bleu (18 minute walk), La Rotisserie (12 minute walk). The metro station Maisons Alfort Les Juliottes takes around 3 minutes walk from home. Its direct to the Eiffel Tower (Ecole Militaire), Opera, Invalides, Concorde, Bastille, Republique... Paris is just a few metro stops away and very easy to access. You can also rent bicycles (Velib) and stroll all the way from here to the the Seine towards the Eiffel Tower (1 hour bike ride along the river Seine).

There are a lot of things to do at Maisons Alfort. The first one of course is to visit Paris (bike there, or take the metro). You can also walk directly to the Bois de Vincennes (Zoo de Vincennes, Parc Floral, rent a boat on Lac Dausmenil and Lac des Minimes), in summer there are concerts, it's an ideal place to picnic. I also love to visit the Saint Catherine island near by and to stroll by the Marne (very picturesque homes). There are 2 museums as well in Maisons Alfort (Musee Fragonard and Musee de Maisons Alfort) and a small farm. If you take the RER D you can get to Melun directly and visit Vaux le Vicomte Chateau and Fontainbleau. You can also find a Theatre & Cinema close by at the Marie de Maisons Alfort. Plenty of things to enjoy!

Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire à Maisons-Alfort. La première est bien sûr de visiter Paris (à vélo ou en métro). Vous pouvez aussi vous rendre directement au Bois de Vincennes (Zoo de Vincennes, Parc Floral, location de bateau sur les lacs Dausmenil et des Minimes). En été, des concerts y sont organisés et c'est un endroit idéal pour pique-niquer. J'aime aussi visiter l'île Sainte-Catherine toute proche et flâner le long de la Marne (maisons pittoresques). Maisons-Alfort compte également deux musées (le musée Fragonard et le musée de Maisons-Alfort) et une petite ferme. Le RER D vous permet de rejoindre directement Melun et de visiter le château de Vaux-le-Vicomte et Fontainebleau. Vous trouverez également un théâtre et un cinéma à proximité, au Marie de Maisons-Alfort.
