Rumi is a very friendly cat who likes a lot of attention, snuggling and play. He needs a cat-lover who is happy for him to sleep on the bed and who understands a bit about cat behaviour. He needs feeding, his litter tray cleaning...the usual cat care.

City centre apartment in a charming historic neighborhood of Madrid. Two small balconies, lots of light, a spacious living room, an office space and two cosy bedrooms. Third floor with no lift.

NB: we would prefer a sitter who is happy to respect our vegan house and not bring any animal products into the kitchen.

There's a comfortable workspace set up if you need to work from home.

The apartment is in a bustling area of central Madrid, 15 minutes walk from Sol and 20 from Atocha. There are lots of bars as restaurants close by but the climalit windows keep most of the noise out. There are nice local shops and you're within walking distance of the main art galleries and sights of central Madrid, including the Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, el Rastro... It's also close enough to local train stations if you want a day out in the mountains.

There's obviously lots of culture to enjoy in the city centre (museums, art galleries, architecture, theatre) but we can also give you advice on how to escape to nature if you're into hiking. There are some great vegan restaurants nearby that we can recommend as well, as well as speciality coffee places.

I was very happy to take care of Rumi for 9 days. Rumi is a funny, sweet, and loving cat. I spent time with him. Hannah and Alberto were very kind to me. They prepared a delicious vegan dinner the day before their departure. The apartment is very nice, comfortable, and the neighborhood is just perfect. It is within walking distance to everything, nice and popular. I recommend this housesitting!! Thanks a lot Hannah and Alberto
