We have one loveable and can be off the lead when away from the road,. Our cat Eric who adopted us as a kitten 7 years ago is in charge of them all.
The dogs require two walks a day, morning and late afternoon or evening, normally around 20 minutes or so, but more if you wish. Eric will come and go as he pleases but will come in at meal times and in at night. They have a small breakfast and main meal in the evening. They sleep in the kitchen at night.

Although our dates are firm we would appreciate our housesitters arriving the day before we leave and and departing the day after we get home. So we can give instructions, get to know one another and introduce them to the neighbourhood.

Comfortable 2 bedroomed house set in the middle of a pretty village in the beautiful Creuse countryside, Well insulated home with log burner and central heating. Secluded courtyard and garden. House lays back from the road with parking outside. Good sized bedrooms and storage. Modern integrated kitchen, diner and comfortable sitting room with sofa, recliner chairs English and French TV etc. Additional garden room /dining room. Plenty of local dog walks. Bar restaurant in the village. Sizeable town just 12 kms away and other village with plenty of facilities within a few kms of home. For music lovers we have CD players and loads of CD's. Our bookshelves are full of regional and informative books, maps of the area, local towns and hiking trails. Also lots of novels and box sets for those nights in. We have an exercise bike and two road bikes (one man's, one woman's). The village is attractive and friendly with a nice fountain and square outside the church. It is a calm and beautiful area with lovely countryside. The butchers van provides good fresh meat, cheese and bread on Friday mornings in the square, but there's a town 15- …

The butchers van provides good fresh meat, cheese and bread on Friday mornings in the square, but there's a town 15- 20 minutes away with supermarkets, markets, restaurants etc. There is a post office and bar/ restaurant in the village. Smaller villages with bakers, small general stores and cafe bars are just 10 minutes away.
The beautiful river Creuse and riverside walks are just a few minutes by car. Petanque can be played on the pitch in the square or make use of the benches and enjoy the village. There is a footpath next to our courtyard and lots of walks nearby.

Tourismus und Freizeit

This region has lots to offer. The interesting towns of Gueret, Aubusson and Montluçon, to name but a few are not far away (twenty to thirty minutes drive). Lots to see and explore, the nearest chateau is Villemonteix just 10 minutes drive away. Beautiful lakes, forests, chateaux and pretty villages are plentiful. Gueret is host to a visitors Wolf Park, large maze, Saturday and Thursday markets. Museum and parks and a very helpful Tourist Information centre in the town centre.
1 hour 20 minutes away is the capital city of the region Limoges and it's airport. An enjoyable day can be spent there.

J'ai été super bien accueillis tant par les propriétaires que par les animaux. Les chiens ? EXTRAORDINAIRES ! merveilleux ils sont fait des kms sans jamais faiblir, ils ont couru à travers champs et forêt des heures sans se plaindre , mdr j’étais parfois de les regarder partir au loin, collants un peu , mais très très très obéissants , j'en garde un souvenir affectueux et touchant , quant au chat un poème à lui tout seul , très squatteur et très indépendant , bien sur ; la région est fabuleuse à qui aime la solitude des grands espaces;
