Hello. We are Sharon and Jason; an mid 40s British couple who have decided to settle in Spain after spending a year travelling around Europe in a battered motorhome.

We are based just outside Elche in Alicante, in an area called Daimes. There isn’t much to do, so our home would probably appeal more to those who prefer peace and quiet.

We can offer you a bedroom in the main house, though please realise that things are a bit rustic (we have a nice hot water supply now, but only Spanish tv). However, we do have a good wi-fi connection. If the nights are still warm enough we sit outside watching the stars, the storms, the fireworks, or the antics of our pretty dumb but lovely adopted rescue dogs Jako, Charlie and Georgia, or the greedy cats, Petra and Tigre. We also have 4 chickens, 2 chicks and 1 cockerel, so you may even get some fresh eggs every now and again!

** Hi. We have been let down at the last minute by someone who was meant to look after our animals / house. I am in Jersey working at the moment, and Jason was due to come out to visit for 1 week for the first time in over 3 years. If he can't come it means not only am I disappointed, but so are his kids and my family. If anyone is available we would love to hear from you. We don't expect anyone to do anything aside from look after 3 dogs / 2 cats / chickens and rooster. **

It is very peaceful at the house (apart from the odd barking dog of course!). We have a large terrace area that is wonderful for sitting and watching the world go by, and at night you can close everything up and use the log burner to make things more cosy.
You would have the use of our battered but functional car while we were away.

Tourismus und Freizeit

Even though the house is a bit off the beaten track, if you have your own vehicle it’s only 10 minutes to the nearest beach or Dolores, 5 minute drive to the outskirts of Elche, less than that to La Hoya, or 25 minutes to Alicante town. There are even some bars / restaurants within walking distance (about 15 minutes to the nearest village / 10 minutes to the nearest restaurant, renowned in the area for it's paella).
