Hi there,

We own a small house in Utrecht and live happily together with two cats. Bengal and a Somalian cat. In February we are travelling for 6 week to Brazil and are looking for a house sitter during that time to take care of our cats.

I had a wonderful stay in Utrecht ! The house itself is lovely: equipped with a great TV, reliable internet, and a super comfortable bed that made it easy to feel right at home. The Location & Commute While the house isn't in the city center, it is very easy to access. You have two main options: • Cycling: A pleasant 15–20 minute bike ride. • Public Transport: A single bus line (approx. 15 mins), though do keep an eye on the schedule as I encountered a few cancellations. The True Stars: Benji & Senna If you are a cat lover, you will be in heaven. • Benji is a bit shy initially but really warmed up after a few weeks. • Senna is a total "glue" cat, he loves hugs and will happily sleep right next to you. • Pro Tip: Be prepared to act as a personal doorman! They love to pop in and out frequently (sometimes 2/3 times an hour) (unless a cat door has been installed since my stay). Hospitality Jannick & Astrid are fantastic. They welcomed me with a delicious home-cooked meal and great conversation. Even while they were on holiday far away, they remained incredibly reactive and helpful whenever I had a question. I 100% recommend staying here!
