You will need to have a car here as we are 6 kms from a shop and any facilities.
Our cat's name is Amba and he is an affectionate and docile ginger7y/o desexed male.
He will need flea treatment one a month, feeding morning and evening.
You will not be able to do trips away ( other than day trips) as you have to be home EVERY night to make sure that he is inside and close his cat door ~ this is for both his protection and for the sake of the native wildlife. His cat door is opened again every morning.
We want someone who is a cat lover as Amba likes lots of cuddles and pats.

There are 2 fish ponds which need to be kept clear of debris and the fish need to be fed daily

We actually leave Raleigh on the 18th April and will be back in Raleigh on the 14th October. This is definite but you can come up to a week earlier and up to a few days after our return if necessary. We would definitely like you to come and get to know the routine before we leave.

As I mentioned before this house is very basic and would probably be called a character house.Furniture is basic, no dishwasher or any luxuries. As we are both artists the walls are adorned with many paintings and sculptures. It is comfortable enough and has a gas heater as well as a reverse cycle air conditioner. As this is a 6 month period you will be expected to pay for your own electricity and gas as well as the internet which is $88 month including all phone calls in Australia ( not international). You will keep our vegie garden going, and mow the lawns, and collect our mail. The fish just need feeding once a day. You will need to have a car while living here. Raleigh is a small community, 5 minutes by car to beaches and 5 minutes by car to a small seaside town with supermarkets, doctors, pharmacy and post office, cafes restaurants and clubs.
The area is quiet although it is close to the Pacific Highway.
We are about 20 minutes south of Coffs Harbour our nearest major town and 10 minutes from beautiful Bellingen which hosts a lot of art events and festivalsas well as a popular market every 3 rd Saturday of the month.
Note:- There is a school bus (once a day each way) which can be used to get to Bellingen, Urunga or Coffs Harbour; however sitters need to have there own car.

The highlights of our area are the beautiful Bellinger valley, Bellingen town with it's many cultural events and music, the Urunga broardwalk and beach, the local North Beach and the many National Parks within easy reach including the World Heritage Dorrigo National Park which is up the mountain 45km away.

Liz and her husband Leigh have just finished a 10 day house-sit for us in Paris, taking great care of our cat Neko and dog Monty. I came back to a very tidy home and two happy pets, along with some beautiful flowers and a card. Liz has a lot of experience house-sitting so I felt very comfortable leaving her in charge of our home. Liz and Leigh were very independent so they were able to just get on with the house-sit even when things didn't go to plan. We are very happy with the whole experience and would welcome them back any time to Paris. Thanks Liz and Leigh!
