Just 3 km from the town of Macroom. Large 1 acre garden with lots of privacy and rolling countryside. The house has a large kitchen dinner. A cozy living room with open fire and 3 double bedroom. One ensuite. There are lots of country roads to go for walks. We have four cats that need looking after in different ways. 2 indoor Cats and Two outdoor farm cats. One cat an older female Calle MAMA who lives in the barn. She comes over only for food and to sit outside for a while depending on the weather. Then we have VINCENT who is MAMA'S son. He sleeps in the barn sometimes but sometimes sleeps in the house. He usually eats with MAMA. you can't pet or touch MAMA OR VINCENT. Then we have MISSY & FREDDY, Missy is a 4 year old rescue. She is an indoor/outdoor cat with a wonderfully sweet and gentle nature. She loves her food, laying on her window blanket and her daily outdoor …

She loves her food, laying on her window blanket and her daily outdoor wanderings. She loves to be close to her humans but is not a huge snuggler. She is happy laying in her basket by the fire and then laying on her blanket at the bottom of the bed. She loves her routine :)

Freddy is a 3 year rescue kitten. He is very affectionate when he wants to be haha and loves being close to his humans. He has a strong nature and loves to be outdoors chasing things. He and Missy love to play with each other and are happy to have a snuggle together in the afternoon and in the evening. They enjoy spending time in the evening by the fire watching TV.

All four cats get on well and there are no fighting. There can sometimes be other roaming strays which we try to keep out indoor cats away from.

The house is situated in a rural location, so ideal for walks.

There is a TV and WIFI available. We also have lots of books, cd's, dvds for your entertainment.

Beautiful relaxing spot just a short 5 minute drive from Macroom town. Cork city is only 30 mins drive. There is also a local bus service that will take you to the city from the local town of Macroom to the city of cork and the Kerry town of Killarney.

West Cork with it stunning peninsulas is less than an hour drive.

The local town of Macroom is a 5 min drive from the farmhouse and has a castle and river walks to explore. It is an old traditional Irish medieval town. It has bars, restaurants, cafes a Theatre and a weekly market and various shops and supermarkets.

Cork city is only 30 mins drive away where you can enjoy the theatre, cinema, historic walks, river, restaurants, cafes and more.

The west of cork is a must for its stunning scenery. You can access most of west corks attractions in about 1 hour drive.

We spent a lovely few days outside Macroom tending to four fine cats with very different personalities, whose trust needs to be gained differently. Although we were only there for five days, we made some good progress winning them over, especially with Missy, who is a big purrball, and Freddy, who is curious despite his initial reservations! Niamh and Collette were very easygoing and made some recommendations for day trips. Cork and nearby Kerry are beautiful. Lovely house in the countryside. Would recommend :-)

Niamh and Colette are lovely hosts.We communicated for a couple of weeks before the sit and they made me feel reassured as it was my first sit . They have a gorgeous spacious home .I adored their cats straight away They are laid back and welcoming. My partner and I had a fantastic relaxing visit

Collette and Niamh are not only wonderful hosts, but I now consider them dear friends. Their home is lovely and cozy. The kitties all have distinct personalities, and each is so very special in its own way. They were very concerned about my well-being while away and checked in frequently, which I loved. I was truly sad to leave them, their kitties, and their home.
