Hi!

This is Marina, 33 year old jewellery maker and animal lover.

HOUSESITTING EXPERIENCE
-1 month 1 large size dog and 2 conure parrots (Canada)
- 3 months 1 large size dog 1 cat and several chickens (Canada)
-1 month 1 large size dog (Greece).
-several weekend housesits for 3 dogs and 4 cats (Italy)

I also do the odd dog and catsit locally when asked .

DOGS
I had dogs all my life (my last one died recently) and I foster dogs for a local charity (kept 8 foster dogs so far, different ages and sizes)
I mainly took care large dogs (labradors, maremmano shepard, cane corso etc) but have also experience with medium/small size dogs.
I have experience with reactive/ fearful/nervous dogs. I'll be more than happy to provide what your dogs needs to be happy and relaxed. I have been going to dog handling courses for the past 3 years with different dogs (mainly foster dogs with behavioral issues).
I have a soft spot for senior pups and have a good amount of experience caring for them (drugs, mobility etc). I adopted my last two rescues as seniors.

CATS
I have cared for several cats on different housesits and generally throughout my life. I respect their space and independence but also love dispensing chin rubs and play with their favorite toys (is there anything more fun than a cat playing with yarn?) They are welcome to sit on my book whilst I read and on my laptop whilst I try and work :)


OTHER ANIMALS
I also have experience caring for chickens ducks, birds (conure parrots) goats and the basics of horse and donkey care.

I have worked as "Wwofer" (working in organic farms) and have experience maintaining gardens and smallholdings. I also have a small patch of land in Italy were I keep a veggie garden. I'd love to keep your garden healthy or even help you start a veggie patch.

I'm used to staying in remote places, however I currently do not have access to a car.

I am a quiet person, my hobbies are knitting, reading and going for long walks. I do not smoke.

I will treat your companion as if it was my own and I provide punctual updates with pics of them (you decide the frequency).
