We’ve been married for 41 wonderful years &
we are mature, responsible, possess good communication skills, & follow through with our commitments.
We are honest, motivated, positive, proactive, friendly, caring, dependable & trustworthy.
We really love traveling, the outdoors, nature, walking, hiking, camping, running, cycling, yoga, swimming, surfing or any excuse to have an adventure, explore, learn or meet new people!
We are non-smokers with a healthy lifestyle that includes lots of happiness & laughter along the way. Life is good!
Our two remarkable children are grown now & we have two grandkids who are fun-loving & adorable.
We have enjoyed many housesitting experiences caring for pets and property including Costa Rica which, along with Louisville, KY, has been our home base for the last 4+ years.
We ran our own successful businesses for more than 30 years during which we co-owned a nation-wide book publishing company, flower/gift shops, & multiple commercial/residential rental properties. We also built our own home (acting as general contractor) & are accustomed to caring for & maintaining property.
We are energetic, enthusiastic & experienced in handling the responsibilities of property management & renovation.
After many years of driving/flying to countless meetings & handling multiple business-related projects with hectic schedules, we decided to make a dramatic lifestyle change...
We made the decision to sell our home, farm, commercial properties & businesses, retire early & trade material possessions, businesses & property for more adventure & memorable experiences!
Since that decision, we have continued to travel the world, having never looked back & with no regrets.
It has been a wide-eyed opportunity to see the world & it’s beautiful people!
Why we want to housesit
We are thankful that housesitting allows us to help people & care for their pets while we are traveling, which genuinely has been a part of our lifestyle for years.
Our goal is for the property owner to have enough trust in us that they can travel with true peace of mind because we will be there making sure everything is in good order!
Housesitting allows a unique experience for us to meet new people & pets, make new friends, experience new places & give (as well as receive) unconditional love & companionship to beloved pets everywhere.

Keith and Caryn are a lovely couple, friendly, happy and easy to get along with, they were the perfect housesitters. Everything was in exceptional order upon our return. After a long flight home from Australia they had even thought to prepare a meal for us so that we could sit and relax that evening which was a lovely touch. After the first meeting with them I knew I would not need to worry about leaving them with the care of my 4 beloved cats. Suffice to say, our cats we very much loved while we were away and Keith and Caryn both expressed how much they enjoyed getting to know them all and I can tell they truly cared for them. The cats were regularly brushed, allowed to sleep on the bed with them and played with. They kept us up to date with photos and messages. Our car battery had also gone flat and they jumpstarted and recharged it so we were not left stranded. Their attention to detail was perfect and they may have even done things better than I do!!
