I am mainly retired. I have been a company director and a university trained professional forester. My partner was a physiotherapist. We have both travelled extensively, to parts of Asia and particularly Europe and the UK.
We have a new home on a larger urban property of 3500 m2 in a semi-rural setting. We are developing the garden around us. We enjoy landscaping and have planted many trees and shrubs. There are mainly Australian natives on the steeper slopes. There is a large rose garden at the entrance and a number of deciduous trees. We also have a large orchard with many temperate fruit trees.
Landscaping around the immediate house is a work in progress.
The house is about 8 km from the CBD of Launceston, which is a city of about 100,000 people. There are major services within 4 km such as Doctors, supermarket, chemist and restaurants. Bus transport is less than 1 km away and there are a number of parks.
