I am now retired but am a very youthful 69 year old, with boundless energy!!! I have travelled extensively already in life and plan to spend the next five years of retirement house/pet sitting in several countries to explore environments as I love new places, relate well to animals and feel that house/petsitting is the perfect fit for me to be able to see a bit of the world and meet interesting people. I have used these web sites before looking for pet sitters for my own dog and cat (cat now deceased as aged 92 in human years) and have had wonderful experiences finding really good and interesting people to look after my home and my pets. I know I would be able to do the same for people looking for someone trustworthy, capable, responsible, reliable and honest to care for their home and precious pets when they were absent.

I worked as a psychologist here in Australia for 15 years and was a producer/director at BBC TV in London for 14 years prior to emigrating to Australia, thus would have good referees if these were needed to vouch for my work ethics, and my responsible attitude and my ability to be left to complete tasks without supervision. I have also pet sat for my neighbour (two dogs) whilst she was on a three week cruise and for a friend in Sydney for six weeks (one dog) whilst she went to Europe for six weeks - I can provide written references from both and their contact details if necessary (I have not yet done any house/pet sits on this web page for reviews).

I have four grown up children, all resident in Australia although one will be in Europe for three years commencing May 2026 . The four "kids" have made me flexible, unflappable and have taught me about the roller coaster life can be - thus preparing me for any new adventure or situation going forward in retirement. I am confident I would excel at looking after someone's home and would truly enjoy looking after animals that needed love and attention as it is part of what my role in life has been to date - why change what you are good at?.
