Hello! We’re Aldana & Juan, a couple from Argentina currently traveling through Southeast Asia.
We’re both 32 years old, love animals, nature, and slow, intentional living. Over the last few years, we’ve been living a nomadic life, mostly working vintages in wineries around the world, as well as spending some winters in the mountains. When we’re not working, you’ll probably find us reading, playing music, painting, cooking something tasty, or drinking lots of mate (our favorite South American tea!).
We’ve had the joy of doing house sits in both the North and South Islands of New Zealand — three months caring for a puppy in New Plymouth, and five months with a senior cat in Arrowtown. In both cases, we took care of the animals with love and responsibility, including daily walks and administering oral medication when needed. We also handled daily home tasks: watering plants, maintaining gardens and veggie patches, cleaning shared spaces, taking out the rubbish, basic handyman tasks, and keeping in touch regularly with the homeowners.
Between the two of us, we’ve had and cared for dogs, cats, fish, and plenty of houseplants. We’re fluent in Spanish and English, and can get by in French, Italian and Portuguese — especially when it comes to animals!
For us, house sitting is a beautiful form of exchange: someone entrusts us with their home and beloved pets, and we in return find a peaceful space to connect with ourselves, local life, and new surroundings. We love the sense of community this creates and take each sit seriously, with care and gratitude.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Juan and Aldana for their incredible care and attention towards Dohko. Their visit was a real blessing for us. From the moment they arrived, I could see how well they would get along. They took the time to get to know Dohko, understand his needs and give him personalised attention. Their affectionate approach made Dohko feel loved, even in my absence. Not only did they ensure that Dohko was well walked, but they also played with him. I received regular updates, accompanied by adorable photos, which allowed me to feel at ease throughout their care. I highly recommend Juan and Aldana to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters. They are very easy-going people who also took care of our plants and the house. I will not hesitate to call on them again in the future. Thank you again for everything you did for Dohko!
