Hi! I'm a retired technical writer, a wife, a mother, an animal and nature lover, and an avid gardener who loves to travel and see new places. At home I have a beloved cat and many houseplants. In the past I have also cared for fish, rats (fun!), and hamsters. I like reptiles but do not have much experience caring for them, so I would need detailed instructions.

My husband does not enjoy travel, so he stays home with our cat when I am away.

I am a non-smoker. I'm also an introvert, so I enjoy reading, weeding, walking, and other solitary activities.

I have a sister who I also travel with sometimes. It is possible I would ask if she can join me.

My ideal time away would be 6-14 days. My ideal places would be near large bodies of water, as a favorite activity is beachcombing. (Rain and cold are no problem for me.)
