Hello! We’re a couple young sixties, living in beautiful New Zealand (originally from Belgium). We’re experienced travelers who spend 4–5 months each year in Europe, where our adult children live.
Patricia is a language teacher, and Ivo is retired — a practical, hands-on handyman and an enthusiastic sailor. We both love animals, the outdoors, staying active, reading, cooking and discovering new places and cultures.
At home in New Zealand, we live on a lifestyle block. When the girls were young, we had cows, chickens, cats, guinea pigs and a rabbit. These days we just have one much-loved cat, but we’re very comfortable caring for a wide range of animals, big or small.
We take pride in keeping things tidy, organized, and well-maintained — both indoors and outdoors. Ivo is particularly handy with small repairs and garden maintenance.We have been house sitting the last couple of years. This gives us a more authentic, local experience while traveling, and it gives homeowners peace of mind knowing their home and pets are in caring, responsible hands. We know how important it is to find sitters who will treat your home and animals with the same love and respect as their own — and that’s exactly what we do. We are looking for long term sits.

Le séjour avec Ivo c'est bien passé. Il s'est occupé de nos animaux et a même arrosé le potager et les plantes. Ivo est une personne charmante et bien attentionné enc ore merci à Ivo . La maison est restée dans un état impeccable . Ivo est vraiment une personne de confiance

La garde de ma maison a été assurée par Ivo, le mari de Patricia. Nous avons fait connaissance dès son arrivée et avons passé 24 heures ensemble au cours desquelles j'ai pu l'informer à propos de la maison, d'Elliot et des poules ; je l'ai aussi présenté à mon voisin auprès duquel il a obtenu des réponses aux questions qu'il se posait encore après notre départ. Ivo a laissé la maison en parfait état de propreté, il a entretenu avec mes voisins des relations chaleureuses, il a apporté soins et attention à mon vieux (15 ans) chien Elliot malgré ses infirmités. Je recommande Ivo aux membres de NOMADOR et je l’accueillerai volontiers à nouveau.
