About Me
Hi, I’m Edward, a 34-year-old private chef originally from Bath in the UK. I currently work on a rotational schedule (2 months on, 2 months off) aboard a boat, which gives me the opportunity to travel and spend extended periods exploring new places.
I recently obtained French nationality, and my parents have been based in Lot-et-Garonne since 2022, so France has become a real second home for me.
I’m very active and love spending time outdoors—whether it’s long dog walks in any weather, cycling, tennis, or hiking. One of my recent highlights was completing the Camino de Santiago with my girlfriend Carolina, who is a tour guide from Barcelona. We both share a love of travel, culture, and the outdoors, and enjoy discovering new places together.
As a chef, I’m naturally passionate about cooking and keeping a home well-run. I’m clean, organised, and respectful of other people’s spaces, and I take pride in maintaining a calm, tidy environment. We both lead a fairly calm, healthy lifestyle and tend to spend our time outdoors or exploring rather than going out late.
House Sitting Experience & Approach
While I may be new to house sitting platforms, I bring a strong sense of responsibility from my professional life, where attention to detail and trust are essential. I understand how important it is to leave your home—and especially your pets—in safe, capable hands.
Carolina and I are both very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. We’re active, attentive, and happy to stick to established routines—whether that’s long walks, feeding schedules, or simply providing company and affection.
Availability
I have the full summer off this year, so I’m very flexible and open to sits across France and potentially further afield.
