Jack is a pretty chill cat. He sleeps a
good chunk of the time. He may chat with you, especially first thing in the morning, or if he needs something (wants to play, food is enjoy etc). I'm not sure how he will be with sitters as he tends to hang out in another room when we have guests but I imagine he'll be more social after a few days.

Jack is generally in good health. He occasionally vomits or has a hairball. If he vomits on carpet, please use the Miracle Pet spray under the kitchen sink to clean after removing the vomit. He occasionally gets constipated. When he does he may yowl, in which case I pick him up and carry him to the litter box and close him in there and watch until he poops. When constipated he sometimes poops elsewhere in the house. If you see either of these things happen, please add a little extra water to his wet food each night. If it is not resolving, please contact our vet to get some laxative.

Jack's food bowls are in the kitchen under the coffee/tea area. He can have dry food available all the time (glass bowl). For dinner he gets 1/3 can of wet food (metal bowls). Both the dry and wet food are in the closet in the kitchen. We have a lid that fits the wet food cans to store it in the fridge and plastic spoons we use to dish it out. Please clean out the wet food dish and use a clean one each evening.
There is a water dish by his food and another downstairs. The water dispenser in the kitchen will start gurgling a little when it's running low. If he starts splashing the water in the kitchen water dish, please empty and unplug it.

His favorite toys are the laser pointer and the feathers on the fishing pole type thing. He gets more engaged if you move it quickly. All his toys are in the middle drawer of the coffee table. Please play with him once a day. Often if he wants to play he'll start knocking things off the coffee table.

We leave on July 30 in the afternoon so arrival the morning of July 30 would also be fine.

You will need a car to get to stores and if you want to explore beyond DC. 2 guest bedrooms each have queen bed. Lots of spaces for remote work including an office. Large TV with Netflix, Amazon, and Network television. Pretty much the whole house has been renovated over the last 10 years. Fully equipped kitchen.
