Our cats are the main reason we need someone here. They're independent indoor/outdoor characters who love affection, and none currently require regular medication. We need genuine cat lovers who recognise signs of illness and can arrange veterinary care when necessary. are indoor/outdoor cats. None on meds atm. We also occasionally help local strays, so a soft spot for waifs and strays would be welcome!

Haus

Our simple, traditional Malay-style house is just steps from a beautiful, largely tourist-free beach. It has two bedrooms (one used as an office), a sitting/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and verandah, plus a tropical garden. It's comfortable rather than luxurious, with good fibre internet.

Local markets, food and customs can be unfamiliar, English isn't always spoken, and Terengganu is a traditional Muslim state where modest dress is customary and alcohol and pork are difficult to find. In return, you'll discover wonderful food, friendly people and a fascinating culture. We're in a relatively remote location, so reaching us requires some effort and travel at your own expense — typically two flights and an hour's taxi journey. We'll happily help with arrangements.
