Pet-sitting | 3 Cats

My three cats are two Arabian Maus that were rescued in Dubai and moved with me to Torrevieja and a local cat that was rescued off the streets here a while back. The Arabian Maus are siblings and almost 5 years old adults now. The third is older (around 10 years) and is small in size but with a lot of (c)attitude. They are very friendly, they talk a lot and want a lot of attention. They eat wet food twice a day, morning and evening (and a snack at lunch) and have fresh water and dry food available throughout. They are generally free to roam as they please but regularly sleep inside, often in the bed :-) Two of them have some disagreements thus having to keep them from meeting face to face. Apart from making sure they are fed and the litter box is cleaned once a day, it would be great with some pictures and perhaps a short video of them every other day. For longer sits, the plants on the roof terrace need watering once or twice a week.

Hi there. Ideally you will have at least a day to get to know the cats before I leave (I am travelling early morning 17th). One of them is very shy and need some time to become comfortable with new people. Arriving earlier than the 16th is fine and will give them even more time to familiarise themselves with you. The apartment is in a small community called Arabia which has a Moorish theme. The community is located 50 meters from the sea. The apartment itself has two floors plus a large roof terrace with view of the sea. In addition there are three other terraces on either side of the apartment. There is a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor while the two bedroom on the top floor shares a bathroom. One of the bedrooms here has direct access to one of the terraces. From the front terrace there is a view of the quiet street that the community is served by and the sea across the road leading to downtown.

Alexa (Amazon) can play any music you like and also help with other things, such as turning on and off lights and monitor the security cameras. There is fiber Internet with WiFi access throughout the apartment as well as a large screen flat TV. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen and a washing machine in the downstairs bathroom. Both floors have AC units. A hammock is available on the roof terrace if you want to stargaze, enjoy the sun or just read. A couple of bikes are also available for quickly getting around to the grocery shop, beach etc.

The building is on a quiet street, just off the road leading to the town center. The sea is across that road from the apartment. From the terrace at the entrance you can enjoy life passing by on the street below or enjoy the view of the sea through the palm leaves. A small grocery shop with all the basic stuff is just around the corner, 100 meters away. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk away, where buses can take you either to the center of town or to the most popular beach in the areas, La Mata. Walking to either takes about 15 minutes. There are a number of restaurants and pubs within 10 minutes walk from the apartment, including Scandinavian, Indian, British and Italian cuisines. Close by there is a commercial area with a shopping center, a hypermarket, many restaurants and a cinema which also shown original language movies.

The town of Torrevieja is a destination in itself and is just a short walk along the sea. Wander along the corniche through the town and stop at one of the many cafes or bars for something to drink, day and night. Further afield, a 10 minute drive, there is a water park (open during the season) and close by that again the Habaneras shopping center. The cities of Alicante and Cartagena can be reached in less than an hour by car, going North and South respectively. Both have long histories and pretty downtown areas with cafes, restaurants and bars. Further North there is Benidorm which also host a theme park, Terra Mitica (closed this summer). Between Torrevieja and Alicante, facing the sea, you find the cliffs of Santa Pola where you can visit the lighthouse that is perched on the edge, or the steel gangway that actually arches outside the cliff edge. In the same area you can hitch a ride with a tandem paraglider and see the cliffs and lighthouse from the ocean side.

We spent a wonderful month taking care of Altea, Carlotta, and Primo. It took a couple days for Carlotta to get use to us but after that we got a lot of cuddly times from all of them. All 3 of them are really endearing and we enjoyed their company a lot. Communication with Alf was quick and easy and every question we might have had was answered promptly. About the house it was really nice to be able to walk to the beach (and the churros truck ;)), enjoy the lovely restaurants and bars in the neighborhood or just make a picnic to enjoy by the cliffs just the other side of the road. It was a great pleasure to spend time with those 3 adorable felines and enjoy the spacious house and rooftop terrace. Thanks again Alf and we hope to see you and the kitties soon !

We had the most wonderful experience caring for Altea, Primo, and Carlota for three weeks! It was such a joyous time. Primo is an absolute sweetheart, so affectionate and social. Altea melts your heart with her tremendous sweetness, and Carlota, although a bit shy at first, warmed up to us with time and turned out to be incredibly loving too. The house is nestled in a privileged location, so close to the coast, with breathtaking views and a kitchen that instantly feels like home. There's plenty of space throughout the entire house to make you feel cozy and comfortable, especially in the kitchen, where we spent a lot of time. And let's not forget about the incredible housemates – three spectacular companions who made our stay even more enjoyable. Communicating with Alf was a breeze, and his care for the three kitties is evident. He provided clear instructions and entrusted us with their well-being, for which we are truly grateful. Thank you, Alf, for allowing us the opportunity to care for these precious fur babies. We felt welcomed, comfortable, and embraced, and this experience will surely hold a special place in our hearts for years to come.

J'ai passé un très bon séjour chez Alf avec ses trois chats Altea, Carlota et Primo. Les chats sont attachants, ils ont chacuns leur propre personnalité affirmée. Ils sont adorables et très câlins, chacun a son rythme. La maison est confortable, je m'y suis sentie tout de suite à l'aise. La vue est superbe, depuis le toit terrasse on peut profiter de magnifiques levés de soleil sur la mer !
