We have two dogs; Chip is a 10 year old labradoodle and Bisto is. 6 year old Cavapoo. Our dogs are taken on at least one walk a day for 45-60 minutes. If only going on one walk, they use a dog pen in garden for bathroom duties which a sitter would need to clean (this can generally be avoided by taking them for two walks!). Bisto likes gravy to be added to his food; we adopted him and a tooth issue so this softens his dried food! Dogs eat dried, hypoallergenic food (provided) but usually have left over cereal and/or human dinner added to the food. Only fed twice daily. Dogs sleep on their dogs beds in the dressing room, which is adjacent to the master bedroom.

United Kingdom, Newport - close to city centres of Cardiff and Newport, reachable by public transport (bus stop - 3 mins walk, train station - 15 mins walk or accessible by bus in 10 minutes). Spacious yet cosy home in semi-rural area, close to country walks and good country pubs. Enclosed and secure garden over-looking a stream, separate dog area (for emergency doo-doos!). Field adjacent to house for walks. Friendly and accommodating neighbours. Our house is finished to a high standard but we do allow dogs on furniture, if clean. We have 4 bathrooms, including a downstairs shower for dogs in utility room. Two separate lounges, study, large kitchen diner and downstairs bathroom.

We have many books and a piano. We have access to several TV and internet streaming services which we will make available to sitters. We have high speed internet and have serval Alexa’s around the house to play music/radio. We have a designated study area which can be used to work from home. There is ample parking on driveway (enough for two additional vehicles, including the one that we would leave at home). The garden benefits from outdoor sofas and is a sun trap during the spring and summer months. The garden is enclosed by trees and very private.

The local area is very quiet and relaxing, despite having good links to public transport. We enjoy long walks in the countryside and pub lunches. There are four pubs within east walking distance and many others within a 5-10 minute drive. We have a log burning stove and excellent cooking and dining facilities. For younger sitters, Newport and Cardiff are within easy access on public transport.
