A few years ago I began traveling through France volunteering via the workaway system in order to learn French. During my second workaway I was asked to stay as winter caretaker of a château in the town of Figeac while the owner was away. It was an interesting experience and one I repeated the following winter. After this I decided to focus on house sitting and used it to travel the world - Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and now back in Europe - Germany, the UK, Portugal France and Spain. Most of my sits have been organised with other websites but I'm trying Nomador once more as it seems to have a lot of offers in Europe, where I wish to stay for the time being. I can provide many references for all my previous sits on request.
Currently I am back home in Spain looking after family members and the family business (A language school) so I cannot travel freely around the world. I limit my sits to the Iberian peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and shorter durations. I am particularly interested in stays in Madrid as it's easily accessible to me via train.

John was wonderful! Super responsive while talking at first, he came down to Madrid to meet in person for a coffee and meet the animals, and then kept in touch with us. The day before we left he stopped by to get the keys, which was really kind, and then during the stay he sent photos and updates :) he left the house as he found it. We'll 100% plan a stay with him if he's available! Thank you so much, John!

John was a wonderful person to have come stay in our flat and look after our cat, Cleo. He was very calm and friendly and incredibly experienced in house and pet sitting. He kept in regular contact during our trip, sharing videos, messages and photos. Our flat was very clean we we returned and Cleo was calm and content, John had obviously spent a lot of time giving her attention. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a pet sitter. John sait parfaitement s'occuper des chats, de la maison et des plantes. Nous le recommandons. Il a du partir la veille de notre retour, mais il nous avait cuisiné une bonne tortilla ! Au plaisir de le recevoir de nouveau!
