We were very fortunate to have been accepted to sit for Collette near Macroon, County Cork. The house was lovely, spacious, spotless and we loved our time here. The kitchen is huge with everything you would need. Our role was to ensure that 3 local cats were fed and where possible allow them into the house as they live in the barn opposite. Collette managed to have Mama neutered recently and she would cautiously come into the kitchen whilst her very cute son Vincent was much bolder. He would often come in, particularly in the evenings and sit on his chair for many hours before heading back to the barn with Mama. There is also Bishop who would sit on the driveway and wander over for his daily food, he seems very happy with his own company! The house is very close to Macroon with everything you need including a Dunnes, Lidl and Aldi. We went on lovely day trips to Cork, Kinsale and some lovely walks at The Gearagh and Gougane Barra. We highly recommend this sit and hopefully we shall return one day. Collette was fantastic to deal with right from the start. We didn't end up talking as everything was very straightforward, but responses were super quick and efficient and notes left in the house.
