It's such an honor to have been trusted by 13 house and pet owners to take care of their beloved animals. All of them through Trustedhousesitters in the USA, Mexico, and England. Now I am realizing, in order to find a sit in beautiful France, I need to use NOMADOR. Regrettably, I don't have any history on NOMADOR (yet) and no reviews to show. But I am proud to say that with Trustedhousesitters, I have all 5-star reviews (5 being the top score). If you ask, I happily copy and translate them into French and send them to you.

I love house- and pet-sitting. It gives me the chance to make new furry (and fur-free) friends in an exciting new environment.
I grew up in a small, rural town in Switzerland, surrounded by a family of animal lovers, birdwatchers, and hunters (I know). My best play buddy as a boy was a wire-haired Fox Terrier. I have lived and worked in the USA for over 30 years, now am retired near Denver, Colorado.
In Switzerland, I worked as a teacher and for the WWF-in the USA in the caregiving field (employee counseling), as a contractor for the US government and in private practice. Jean, my wife, and I have owned and cared for cats, a house, and garden for more than 25 years. Our first cat Lou got 22 years old and lived on whipped cream for his last year. We had the privilege to “share” our neighbor's black lab, Mosley. Best dog ever. We should have cloned him! Then we had two great cats, Bini (the wild one) and Cola (the one that died way too soon). Currently, we share our lives with Rudy, a sweet, shy tabby.

The dogs seemed to quickly adapt to their new ‘temporary’ carers and were happy & healthy on our return.
The house was clean & tidy and Markus & Jean organized and ready to leave—allowing us space to settle back into our home.
We would not hesitate to have them sit for us again-should they wish to!
