Ruth & Jordan love Cats, Dogs and Traveling S.

We are a quiet couple, married for 30 years, nonsmokers.
We own our own business and we absolutely love to travel, especially to Europe. When I was young, I had a beautiful Persian Blue cat named Muffin - he was so cuddly! Jordan also grew up with cats and had a dog named Qualico. We used to have a rescue dog named Tanker. He was very similar to a Sarloos Wolfdog, red in colour.

We have experience caring for many kinds of breeds of dogs and different temperaments - both elderly and young, healthy and needing special attention. For example, we have looked after Border Collie, Cavapoo, Gundogs (Black Labrador) Labradoodle, Malamute, Afghan Hound (and I learned how to groom him) Poodle, Jack Russell, Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, French Pug, Great Pyrenees, Sarloos Wolfdog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and 4 chickens! We love cats too! We have cared for Siamese, Devon Rex, Tabby, and even some one-eyed cats and loved them all. Our first pet-sitting experience was in March, 2019 for a lovely couple in the UK near the Cotswolds. A huge Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog named “Zeus” and a Lhasa Apso named “Bella” - she was a real Diva, and such a character! We absolutely loved it and our hosts said they would be happy to share references.

Our next job was looking after a very sweet Toy Poodle named Emma in Sidney, B.C. It was fantastic to take her for walks around Resthaven Island and the marina there. Next, was two French pugs and a fish in Langford, Molly and Max - both of them rescue dogs... it was great fun to spend time with them! And Beethovan the fish was so handsome!

We have also cared for 3 Devon Rex cats who were so affectionate and playful! Two of them needed regular medication which we were happy to help with. We have also looked after a beautiful Siamese cat named Bailey in James Bay... who loved cuddles and sitting with us outside in the sun. We have pet sit 2 rescue dogs in Langford - a Lab and Great Pyrenees with crate trauma, separation anxiety, walking on leash/triggers, and medical issues. We managed very well. We can also add to the list a very cute Shih tsu!

We have done pet/house sitting in the UK and Canada and received excellent reviews, which we would be happy to share with you. We are an active couple - we love walks on the beach, hiking and trail walking. We can give your dog whatever level of exercise he or she is used to, and tons of affection. Your cats will always have clean kitty litter, loads of love and cuddles. We work from home and run our own business, so we are able to work anywhere we go, as long as there is a reliable internet connection. We will leave your home sparkling clean and you will come home to happy, well-cared for pets.
