I am a 63-yo single Scottish lady who loves animals and loves to travel. I live in the NE of Scotland and run my own businesses which include B&B properties and property management.
I am responsible, reliable, trustworthy and practical. I am fully police-checked by the UK authorities (certificate available on request).
I have had cats all my life - I currently have 3 - and am conversant with all aspects of cat care and behaviour. I volunteer for the Cats Protection League in the UK where I vet potential adopters for our rescue cats.
In terms of property management, I have several properties myself which I run as B&B businesses.
I live in a rural area so I am experienced in dealing with most property issues that can happen. I also look after around 30 properties for a real estate agent in Scotland.
I have travelled widely and am a confident solo traveller. I am able to fit into new environments quickly. I am confident driving overseas and always hire a vehicle when I am house sitting.
Over the last 10 years I have completed twelve house and catsitting assignments: 5 in Los Angeles, 3 in Palm Beach, 2 in London, one of Spain and the South of France. These were done through another house-sitting website. I have looked after elderly cats requiring medication and an indoor feral cat. My oldest cat has a thyroid issue and requires daily medication. I have also looked after friends' properties (in California, in Rio de Janeiro and in London). I also use housesitters to look after my cats whilst I’m abroad - I think it’s a wonderful idea as it's great to be able to relax knowing that your pets are being well looked after whilst you're away.
As for leisure activities, I keep fit - ski, cycle, gym. I am a big music lover (all sorts) and attend many concerts
and I enjoy playing my piano. I love all the classical arts (opera, ballet etc).
I live a quiet life and am a non-smoking vegetarian.
