As a family
We are retired sisters from the US living in Portugal. Lois is a retired RN. I am a retired Food Services Directplor. We moved to Portugal with our two pups 4 years ago so we could travel easier in Europe and we wanted an adventure. We have made lots of friends in Braga and have a wonderful community. We have been housesitting and pet sitting for our friends and they, in turn, took care our pups and home. Sadly, last September our aging pups passed away within five days of each other. They were older and some health issues and their passing has left a massive hole in our hearts and home. We still want to travel and since we no longer have pets of our own we believe looking after other people's animals would be the next best thing to having our own. Nothing fills a home with more joy than having an animal. We have had cats and dogs most of our lives. My two cats Chloé and Camille lived for 20 and 25 years, respectively alongside 2-3 dogs and birds. We have given medications and injections to our pets as well as others we've cared for over the years. Our experience comes from having pets and pet/housesitting for friends and family from Canada the US and here in Portugal. Walking at home and wherever we travel is a big part of our lives. We also like to curl up with a good book and cuddle with our furry friends.
