Our cat Deedee (f, 13 yo) is very affectionate and talkative, she needs company when we are on holidays and loves people. Our new kitten Baya (f, 6m) is very playful and shy towards strangers in the first place, but she builds up trust when handled with patience and softness. We therefore need someone who likes cats, who likes to cuddle and play with them and doesn’t mind if they sleep in the bed. Deedee can freely go outside, she doesn’t have a litter box, but Baya still needs to be neutered and goes outside only during the day through the door for now, the situation might evolve until our next travel. We feed them wet food in the morning and evening, they have dry food at their disposal all day long.
We also have many indoor and outdoor plants that need a little watering once a week.

Additional information about these dates

We are leaving in the morning of the 12th February and coming back in the morning of the 6th March. The homesitter can arrive one day earlier (11th February) and we can sleep at a relative's place for one night to meet the homesitter before departure and explain all that is needed. :)

Tiny house on 3 floors. Suitable ideally for 1 person and max for 2 people. There are 2 steep stairs, not suitable for disabled people. My house is very small (so if you need much space it won't be your fit) but it's cozy and cute and is located in the beautiful Lavaux UNESCO vineyards area with a beautiful lake view. Ground floor: entrance. Second floor: living room, open kitchen and a big terrace outside. Third floor: bedroom and bathroom (no door to the bedroom, it's open on the staircase). The house is in the middle of the vineyards, perfect for nice walks around. The lake and beach are 5min away by foot, and from the terrace there is a beautiful view on the lake. A car can be parked in front of the house or in the street. We can meet at my place to show you the inside (very cosy and sleek design with organic materials) or we could have a video call to show you around. The surroundings are very calm and peaceful, perfect for long walks in nature with a stunning view on the lake. There is a bus station 6min by foot and a trainstation 10min by foot. A Coop supermarket is 6min by foot, next to the bus station, and there are also a pharmacy and a bakery.
In the vineyards there are many winemakers where one can go for a wine tasting.
The beach is very close and nice for walks in winter and swimming in summer.

Tourism and Leisure

Our tiny house is located in the vineyards near to the beach, 5min by train or 20min by bus from Lausanne, where one can go out and enjoy many cultural activities.
For people coming from abroad, a walk through the unesco vineyards around is not to miss out. Geneva is one hour away. The mountains are also pretty close, by car or train one can go hiking or skiing in Wallis in less than an hour.

La communication avec Pascale et Carlos a été chaleureuse et sincère depuis les premiers échanges et pendant toute la durée de mon séjour. Leur accueil tout autant. Deedee , la reine des lieux , m’a acceptée dans son bel environnement après un court moment d’observation. Au fil des jours , j’ai appris à la connaître : bavarde , exigeante , gourmande , expressive ,câline , coquine , indépendante . J’ai aimé partager la vie de cette adorable princesse . Pascale is a very sweet and welcoming host. She is very organized and clean and made sure I understood where everything was in the house and how to use it, the needs of her cat and clarified any other doubts I had regarding the country and surroundings. Her place is cozy and perfect if you want to isolate and focus in yourself and the surrounding area is beautiful for walks. While away, she was easy to reach when I had questions. Deedee, her cat, is also a very sweet cat that lives for cuddles but is mostly independent and free to roam around the house so didn't requiere much maintenance. Overall, I'm grateful fo the positive experience and would repeat :)
