I have two cats - a friendly cuddly 7 year old girlie, and a 12 year old boy who is a bit shy but tends to warm up to people (particularly when offered cheese or special snacks). The only two things they need - a bit of play and a litterbox cleaning. The food is dispersed via the automated feeder, and the old boy needs a bit of extra snacks. He prefers to be left alone and doesn't like attention otherwise.

Nothing so far. The 7 year old cat has mild asthma; if she allows, inhaler meds can be given, but not critical for the duration of the trip if she doesn't like it.

We have already booked the tickets; ideally would be nice to arrive a day in advance to get all the instructions and some suggestions on transportation and other practical things.

There are a lot of touristy things to do in Hamburg, and all are easily reachable from the house by S1 line of S Bahn in Hamburg or several bus lines, with bus stops in less than 5 min away. Definite highlights are Speicherstadt and Elbphilharmonie!

My time in Hamburg was great! Irina is very accommodating, and I’m super grateful that I got to have my first house-sitting experience with her. The cats have two very different personalities, and spending time with them was a lot of fun. I would take care of them again anytime!

We met Irina first through visio then in person before she left for holydays. She lives in a modern and clear apartment not too far from downtown Hamburg, around 20 minutes by train. There are bus stops close to her place, the train station is a 10 minutes walk away as well as a nice street with shops. We did stay almost two weeks and there is plenty to do and see in Hamburg and in close cities like Lubeck, Stade, Lunerburg, so it's not boring at all. The cats Mos and Savu have very different personalities. From Day 1 Savu will want to be pat while it will take a good 10 days for Mos to accept to be touched but both are lovely, quiet, gentle and almost maintenance free. All in all, a very nice experience!
