We have a mid-aged, neutered male cat that lives outdoors during the day, and loves attention while he eats and snuggles in the evenings and mornings. He was an abandoned alley cat, but has good manners, talks a fair amount, and loves coming home in the evenings to some scratches and a warm blanket. No medications or special diet.
This is a great situation for someone who is active and enjoys exploring during the day and relaxing in the cooler nights at home.

House

Townhome in Tavira, two bedrooms, three levels with roof terrace. Nice back patio off the living room with seating and bbq. Ac/heating in both bedrooms and the living room. Very comfortable. A 15 minute walk to the city center.

It is a nice urbanization with serveral attached townhomes and apartments across the street. We really enjoy our patio and rooftop. Many amenities like a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. There is a work space in the living room, along with seating and a television. The basement has a large dining table and large tv for watching movies.

Tourism and Leisure

We have some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal here in the Algarve. The train is a 10 minute walk from our place and you travel the Algarve from there. There is a mall not far from our home as well with a large supermarket, cinema, and great food court. Downtown Tavira is full of charm and beauty.

I had a delightful two weeks in the historic town of Tavira taking care of Poncho, the coolest of cats and easiest pet I've ever watched. Beautiful and modern townhouse walking distance to the supermarket and also into the charming and beautifully maintained town itself. I took the short ferry right from town out to the beach island a few of the days I was there - what a treat! Train and bus access to the entire Algarve region and even into Seville. Patrick and Tanya are most pleasant, thoughtful and quickly responsive when needed. One of my favorite house-sits!

Tanya and Patrick have a very comfortable (and clean !!) home with everything one needs to have a comfortable stay. Good hosts and easy to communicate with. Patrick will call Poncho ‘a sweet boy’ and he is absolutely right. It takes a walk and a ferry to reach the very nice beach on the Tavira Isle. In this time of the year the amount of sunlight is overwhelming, so : be careful. I enjoyed my stay in Tavira. Thanks Tanya and Patrick
