Paris

We have a 11 year old cat who is healthy and happy, she's fairly sociable but also a bit shy and can take a bit of time to warm to people. She is allowed to go outside but there is no cat flap so you just have to open the window to let her out, either in the bedroom or kitchen. Ideally you would make sure she is back in before you leave and close the window to keep the apartment secure but if she is outside for the day it's fine too. She is fed twice a day with wet food, once in the morning and once at night (but once a day is fine if you need to stay out), with dry food and water topped up. If you could check the post for us and water the plants that would be great too.

Our cat is a bit shy with young children and will hide a lot when they are around. Whilst we would be open to hosting families, it's better for us if it's someone solo, a couple or maybe just one child.

Hello! We are looking for someone to look after our apartment and cat during the dates listed, you could arrive a day later but that's about as flexible as we can be. If you could also water the plants inside and outside our windows that would be very helpful too! We are just confirming someone to stay at the flat 9-17th August, but we have another listing on Nomador for 28th July - 8th August. Looking forward to hearing from you! Nous recherchons quelqu'un pour s'occuper de notre appartement et de notre chat aux dates indiquées ; il est possible d'arriver avec un jour de retard, mais c'est la seule marge de manœuvre dont nous disposons. Si vous pouviez également arroser les plantes (à l'intérieur et celles situées à l'extérieur des fenêtres), ce serait parfait ! Nous sommes en train de finaliser la réservation pour la période du 9 au 17 août, mais nous avons aussi une autre annonce sur Nomador pour la période du 28 juillet au 8 août. A first floor apartment in Le Pré-Saint-Gervais, situated in a lovely building with 5 storeys on a quiet street. The apartment has two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the second with a single bed which pulls out to become a double bed (our childs bedroom). There is a good size living/dining room and a small study (with an extra double futon bed), a bathroom with a bath/shower and a kitchen, and also a shared garden. The apartment is in a very friendly neighbourhood, close to many shops for everything you would need and a large covered market market open three times a week. It's a 10 minute walk from the closest metro stations - Hoche on Line 5 and Porte de Lilas on Line 11.

We have lots of books on art, cinema and architecture. We also have subscriptions for streaming channels and a large TV you would be able to use. There are windows on both sides so there is a good breeze through the house when it's warm and every window has external shutters that you should close during the day if it's warm, then open them at night to let the cooler air in, and the house will stay cooler. We also have a fan to use when it's hot.

Our flat is very peaceful and our neighbours are nice too. There is a shared garden that you would be welcome to spend time in. There are lots of nice restuarants and bars locally, 5 mins walk, or further afield that we can recommend. There is a covered food market for fresh produce three times a week but lots of nice small supermarkets, butcher and other food shops in the area too. There is a large square close-by with play equipment which is great for kids. You can reach central Paris in 20 minutes on a bike or 30 minutes with public transport. You can sign up to the city electric bikes 'Velib' which are cheap and easy to use. It's very close to Paris but a bit calmer than usual for a big city!

There are so many places to discover in Paris. Closeby we have Parc de la Vilette which is a large park with many different performance venues which offer a chance to see all kinds of music, dance, opera, orchestras and performances. There is also another beautiful park not far away called Buttes Chaumont where you have a lovely view of Paris and lovely landscaping. There is so much to explore in and around our neighbourhood and central Paris is very close with access to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Pompidou and so many other museums and parks.
