I spent six weeks in Bourg-Saint-Maurice looking after Carpette, an extraordinary cat whom I became deeply attached to. Veronique and Alain were incredibly kind and friendly. They had prepared everything to make me comfortable and left delicious food and thoughtful gifts for me. Our first meeting was brief before they left, but we also shared the house for a few days upon their return. They were exceptionally respectful, caring animal lovers, and their home was incredibly comfortable. Carpette was one of the most affectionate cats I have ever cared for. Whenever I went into her room, she showered me with love. She would crawl under my duvet at night, purr endlessly. She could honestly purr all night long! The surroundings were beautiful. I cycled along the river every day and got plenty of exercise. The local shops provided everything I needed and more, including lovely gourmet shops. I wholeheartedly recommend this sit. Vero and Alain’s generosity, hospitality, and thoughtful gifts left me deeply grateful, and I cannot thank them enough. I will always be eager to return—to their lovely home and, especially, to Carpette.
