Needs and animals

1 Cat

My cats name is cat, poesje.
She is very quirky and not very social. She has been treated badly by the children of her previous owner. So she is afraid of many things and does not trust people easily. She comes and goes as she likes. She likes human company, but mostly at arm's length. She likes to be with me in one room and if she is comfortable she even sleeps beside me on the bed. Likes to be stroked in the morning, likes to play then too. She didn't purr for months after she decided to live with me, now she does. Food: very particular and loves variety. She eats at a neighbour too, she gets fed special cat cookies there. She loves you when she is hungry and when she is comfortable. Loves roaming around in the neighbourhood, but when I call her she comes running.

Skittish. Eats very well and will come to sit in the kitchen when she wants more food. Spoiled cat. :)

Additional information about these dates

This is the total period I rented a house in Spain. I'm looking for someone who will live in my house and look after my cat for that whole period. It is possible to 'cut up' the stay, in two parts of 3 months, if that is better suited. The flexibility also applies to the start of the period, which is actually depending on me having the key of the house I will stay in. It might be the second week of December.

House

Terraced house with a (small) backyard garden in a quiet cul-de-sac, in a peaceful, leafy neighbourhood. Spacious, bright, cosy and comfortable home, at least in my experience.
The 3 bedrooms are there, but only one is avaliable.
One is turned into a little office, one is closed and used for personal stuff.
So the house can accommodate 1, max 2 people.
My cat is very afraid of dogs, that means bringing other pets is not an option..

Tourism and Leisure

Vegetarian restaurant, organic food shop and allotment garden within walking distance, as well as supermarkets. Weekly market in the town centre. The railway station is easily accessible on foot or by bus.
The town is a typical Dutch town and certainly not a beautiful one I must admit. But it has a library and a movie theater and a few reasonable good restaurants.
The neighbourhood is special: everybody is into TM, Transcendental Meditation. We meditate together in a centre that was built for this. The atmosphere is peaceful. Many artists found their way to this neighbourhood.
