We have two rescue cats, one big fluffy boy king called Spock and his unrelated younger tabby sister/lover, Princess. They are both very easy going and Spock has a lot of love to give. He loves any attention. Spock requires water served to be served to him via the shower tap at just the right flow volume (he will let you know if he requires this service, instead of his automatic water dispenser). Princess is a excellent hider. They both love hanging on the couch, balcony and bed, or wherever you are. They both stay inside or on the balcony full time. Their food is mostly automated and kitty litter will need cleaning every few days. Some pot plants will need water according to the season. Ideally we are looking for a couple that work remotely from home/cafe to maintain a similar routine.

Our home is in a two level earthquake proof apartment with two balconies and two internal staircases. We have two full bathrooms and two seperate work stations with aircon for heating and cooling in every living space and a dedicated projector setup in the lounge.

Tourism and Leisure

Fethiye is a tourism hub in the heart of the Turkish Riviera. You can easily explore beautiful places for day trips like Oludeniz, Kayakoy, Gocek, Mamaris ect with cheap frequent and reliable public taxis (dolmus). All buses have clear signage and you tap any bank card to go anywhere. There is more English spoken here due to being a popular destination for British tourists and residences. There are many hiking trails to historical sites too! And quick easy acess to and from city centre and Dalaman Airport and regional bus routes from Izmir, Istanbul and Antalya.

We really enjoyed our time looking after Spock and Princess. Meri and Burak were very friendly, welcoming and gave us lots of information on everything from how to feed and look after their fur babies to workings of the house, where to buy groceries, public transport and tourist attractions etc.

We spent a wonderful time at Meri and Burak’s home in Moda. We fell in love with their kitties, their home, and the area. Everything is peaceful yet lively out there in Moda which gave us a completely different perspective of Istanbul. Spock and Princess have such amazing personalities and are so easy and fun to take care of. Everything we needed was provided so there was absolutely no anxiety about what to do. Meri and Burak are super friendly and so fun to talk to. They love their kitties deeply so we made sure to keep them updated with everything that was going on with them. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them and spent time in this part of Istanbul. We had visited Istanbul multiple times in the past but we think we have just found our favorite area of the whole city. We thank you both again for being so welcoming and we hope we can see each other again :) Completely recommended!!
